This would be a question for those who have actually been on the show.
So, we often see and/or hear the statement about how contestants are furnished with complete rules (often accompanied by declarations that prices of prizes have also been furnished to contestants prior to the show, are rounded to the nearest dollar, and that gift certificates do not include sales tax.)
I would love to know what form those rules are furnished in. Is a printed booklet distributed? Is it all just verbal? If it is some form of printed rules, should I infer from lack of success in finding a digitized copy that contestants are not actually allowed to remove these printed rules from the studio?
Ultimately I would love to know/reference the "official" rules of the game and see how they might have changed over time.

The contestants are handed a printed-out list of rules, but it is taken away from them before they actually play. Check your DMs, but many of the rules for Wheel of Fortune Live, the live touring version of the show, are copy/pasted from the official current rulebook.

The Wheel of Fortune Live gameplay rule sections are exactly the kind of rule sets I am looking for. Good to know that the Live rules are derived from the official show rules.
I've not seen a DM come through yet, but it's still early in the morning.

Most obscure rule I did not know until reading these was the one about throwing out a puzzle if only vowels are left, no one can afford vowels, and a null cycle of solves occurs. I'm thinking if it's in there, it probably happened (though might not have made it to air as that would be brutal to watch.)
