Hey everyone,
As we gear up for another season, I just wanted to let you all know of a change to our update schedule.
Due to a combination of various issues that popped up last season with getting puzzles up (some of which was my fault, full disclosure) and availability, we are moving away from the daily updating of the compendium in favor of a weekly update system.
While I know this is a big change and may be an inconvenience, I had been mulling about this for a couple of months. Quite frankly, even with the fact that we now have a full volunteer staff, the previous system was still resulting in many missed days of puzzles going up. Sometimes they were for emergencies and that's fine, but even then days were still getting missed. And probably this stems from the fact that all of us are getting older and we need to recalibrate our duties with the compendium so that it isn't wedging into our free time. Add to the fact that my personal schedule isn't as reliable anymore, and the reality becomes this course of action becomes crystal clear.
I'm sure the question will be asked - will we go back to daily? The answer is I don't know. There's a lot of things that I want to do with the compendium but I can't always get to them and don't always want to bug the current staff to do them - but maybe if there's staff additions/changes over time, or our current staff's time somehow frees up, who knows.
