Imagine if this is like 2000-present if the $2500 wedge was placed on yellow $1000 space instead, but either way, great job with this misplacement recreation of that layout!

Hold on to your hat, because I have something that is going to blow your mind: Not only is there a $1,000 and a $2,500 wedge on that layout, there is also a $3,500 wedge, six counterclockwise from the $2,500! The $3,500 was on the purple $150 where the Prize usually goes, so the Prize ended up on the Red $300 where the $3,500 usually went. Like so: This was a special layout used for the first four days of Family Week during Season 8. It seemed to be meant for a shortened 3-round game format, though they managed to play more than three rounds on three of those four days. On the last day of Family Week, they returned to the regular layouts for some reason.
Episodes and rounds this layout was used: [S8-E1446 Nathan & Stanley/Cliff & Madeline/James & Jim 12/24/1990] Round 2 [S8-E1447 Lillie & Lisa/Debbie & Darrell/Cindy & Jane 12/25/1990] Rounds 2 & 3 [S8-E1448 Etta & Marion/Tokie & Grant/Tom & Teri 12/26/1990] Rounds 2 & 3 [S8-E1449 Karri & Kathleen/Chris & Julie/Sissy & Shirley 12/27/1990] Round 2

Wasn’t the layout also used for the Cash & Splash Sweepstakes the month prior?

Wasn’t the layout also used for the Cash & Splash Sweepstakes the month prior? Per Wheelgenius's Cash & Splash layout, it was similar in that it had $1,000, $2,500, and $3,500 wedges all present, but Cash & Splash had the $2,500 on the Purple $150, and the $3,500 in its usual spot on the Red $300.

Per alexb1186 , who has seen one of the Cash and Splash episodes in a friend's VHS collection, $3500 was on orange $200 (where Surprise would usually go), and for the R4+ layout, $2500 was on pink $200 with one Prize on the red $300 as usual. Per the wiki, $2500 was on pink $300 in R2, and the other prize was on blue $200. $2500 remained on the Wheel for the entire game during Cash and Splash, but not Family Week.

Any idea where it was on the wheel?

No, $2500 was never used in R1 prior to Season 18.

Any of these episodes available to view? Apparently they were on Pluto before they all got taken down. They don't seem to be on DailyMotion, where we'd usually find old episodes.

Remember when I made a post about the 2500 wedge sitting next to the yellow 1000? welp. I found a video where the 2500 space lying on top of the pink 200 during round 4. Which was seen on November 6, 1990 during the cash 'n splash sweepstakes. Proof: www.youtube.com/watch?v=a_sOr2ml3n8 credits go to wheelgenius and me

Thanks, in return here's another Double-TDV wheel layout variant for you: [S5-E857 Cather/Kevin/Diane 1/5/1988], Rounds 5 and 6. Possibly the only time the $2000 wedge stayed up past its bedtime to appear on the syndicated evening show. www.dailymotion.com/video/x8jaume
It seems they did the half-layout switch as usual for the third layout, but then instead of putting the $5000 over the $2000, they put it over where the $3500 was the prior round, on the Red $300. No one lands on the $2000. Diane does land on the shifted $5000, but does not win the round so ultimately the outcome of the game is unaffected by this seeming errata.
