Thought calling the X on $900 was the wrong move considering there were 3 C’s up there. Shows you what I know!
This was a textbook S42 BR playing. Calling the obvious is 100% not the effective strategy people think it is, regardless of how many of each letter are in the puzzle. It’s what has caused so much agony in this early part of the season and there’s no end in sight. They are deliberately being super nice right now and we just can’t catch a break.
Huge fail by the technical director there with the BR clock, the graphic was still ticking down as the letters revealed themselves.

These bonus round losses just get more and more painfully close. And yes, I did notice the error with the graphic.

this is a really compelling game definitely in the second half. it was nice to see such a great game.

What a Round 1 by Marvel, she killed it. If she would have chosen L on $2500 instead, things would have been bigger but still, $7500 is not a bad amount to rack up on a letter.
I was kinda surprised Marvel passed on the mystery wedge but at the same time, I’m kinda glad she did because I feel like we have seen too many bankrupts lately.

What a wild game between Jamel and Marvel. They both really killed it. That was one wild comeback by Jamel too. He did really great with the puzzle solving in the Triple Toss Up and Round 4 too.
NOOOOO he was so close!!!!! Man it always sucks when you think it’s that because it looks like it is but instead it’s a different word. Man this really blows. But still I really enjoyed this maingame. It seems like he may have known ALWAYS off RSTLNE based off his picks. I blanked on this puzzle completely. Couldn’t come up with DEMAND at all after his picks were revealed. D and A were key letters for this puzzle, I probably get it if he picks D too. My favorite pair CDMA would have worked towards this puzzle too.

I truly enjoyed watching (most of) this episode.
Marvel definitely made the news with her thrilling and large first round, but Jamel stole the show with a big total of his own! While I’m a little bummed Nancy didn’t get to play much, she was fun to watch as well.
But darn, that ending was as anticlimactic as it could get. Perhaps the D’s would’ve helped Jamel solve the puzzle sooner, but at least he was in good spirits.
