Andddddd we’re back to earth after Monday and Wednesday with another S42 classic of “how did you not get that?”
Puzzle writing is still offbeat this week. TU1 felt like a replacement but TU2 maybe would’ve been a better fit anyway? Not sure, it really fits the theme though. R2 felt like another kind of PP reject shoved into a different round sort of puzzle that we had last season.

A five-figure match was a real treat on this spooky episode.
Lori’s calm personality balanced out Adelia and Anthony’s excitement. Everyone’s intros were amusing, and the trick-or-treat with the staff’s kids (a first for Ryan) was adorable.
Even though it’s October 31, the scream from the Bonus Round wheel startled me. And while I would’ve expected a themed first Toss-Up (well… it is a compilation week), I no-lettered the Prize Puzzle.
The only real downer was Lori’s blanking on ALWAYS in the Bonus Round.
My rating: 6
I hope everyone had a fun, safe Halloween.

I was busy this Halloween (for something not really Halloween related sadly) so I was not able to see it which is why I am posting a few days late. I think I psych myself up too high for this one. I wish they were more themed puzzles like they were during the week but I guess they ran out of steam.(I almost wish they took one of the other episodes to pick here for Holloween to be good considering it was a really good week. (Halloween, not this one)) I loved the ending with all the kids. I agree with the rating.
