Google listings show that the week of January 6-10 is titled "Wheel of Fortune 50th Anniversary"! This may be the first time on the syndicated show that the daytime version's anniversary is directly acknowledged. Can't wait to see what they do!

I'll keep my fingers crossed!

If the WOF YT posts the full thing from 1/6/75, I'd be shocked (but not surprised)... especially after Jeopardy dropped the Fleming pilot last year.

Ooh, very interesting news! Can't wait to see what they do that week-- I could see Pat possibly making a return cameo, I wonder if there's any chance Chuck Woolery and/or Susan Stafford make an appearance?

given both his current public perception (twitter politics) and the reason he left the daytime show in 1981 to start with (he wanted more money from Merv), i doubt we'd have a Chuck apperance

Yes, that's true about Chuck, though Pat's public perception isn't much better and that dispute is well in the past.

Even keeping things politics-free, the salary dispute seems like enough that Chuck would not be acknowledged.

A reminder on how to check Google for episode listings:
Google "wheel of fortune season 42 episode X", with X being 1 for Week 1, 6 for Week 2, 11 for Week 3, etc. You will see "Wheel of Fortune 50th Anniversary" as the title when you plug in 86 for X.

Even keeping things politics-free, the salary dispute seems like enough that Chuck would not be acknowledged. I seriously doubt any of the current staff holds animosity towards Chuck because of the salary dispute, and it probably isn't even widely known about in great detail. I don't want to put too much stock in the thought about the 1975 premiere being posted, but the 50th anniversary is quite an occasion for the show, and the Fleming pilot being posted for Jeopardy!'s 60th gives me great hope.

The Fleming pilot was posted in 2022 for the inaugural Jeoparday!, which celebrated the show’s 58th anniversary.

Oh ok, I got my years mixed up. So what was the official reason for it being posted then? Just for shiggles?

I guess so, more so just to launch the official “holiday” than anything else. The following year posted Alex’s first episode. Nothing was posted this year, possibly because the anniversary itself fell on a Saturday.
