Janine was a delightful contestant. She made her mom’s birthday a fun one, especially in the Bonus Round! Her desire to buy an “owl” in Round 2 brought flashbacks to October 2019. 😂 Too bad there were no cars on offer for Josh, but DeShannon impressed me with the second Triple Toss-Up. I originally thought the Prize Puzzle trip would be either Japan or Washington, D.C. (given the theme). My rating: 8 |

anyway having 200 laserdiscs isn't that over the top, when they were getting to the response/answer I thought it was going to be like 1000 with that build up. considering back in the day you would get 5 or 6 interesting movies of the year overtime along with a few tv shows.I could easily see it going to 200 just from normal collecting or maybe getting a few too many when blockbusters close down. I pretty sure my dad's book has 150-200. (granted there are CDs (A lot of collectors CDs) making it hard to make an estimate) I would love to have a laser disc player though I was shocked to find out that that laserdisc are not the same size as CDs. (I have seen other style discs and tapes just not that) So many animes come in laserdiscs. (in terms of the interview not sure if why you would do that with Caddyshack though,granted probably tradition) I really wish they were not the size of my head.
weirdly enough this is a decent enough episode to be worth it. I will not go as far to say this is the best episode ever and should be in the marathon with the best episode ever created but I was really scared that this was going to be a letdown (again I spent two hours) but I enjoyed it.
I am not sure why they chose this one for election day of all episodes. there are definitely way worse/better choices. I think one of the less polished 'the bonus round is about me' phase episodes would have been the better or ones with worst puzzles. (granted that was a bad triple tossup) it is super sad that a majority of the chunk of the country did not even get to see this amazing episode it was great.
