Barbara's brain really went blank tonight.
How is WOF so historically sticklerish at how words are said, and then they accept THAT pronunciation of Lubbock? lol

I was surprised they took her pronunciation of Lubbock also, that was definitely questionable.
Not sure why Barbara picked P for her Wild Card letter, especially with the obvious H. It would've been funny if Dean won the Prize Puzzle since Montclair isn't far from NYC.
Ugh, yet another bonus puzzle left one word away from solving.

That prize puzzle is a re use from an episode I recently did. Second night in a row they re use a puzzle from an episode I recapped. The first toss up of last night was a re use from 10/7/96I think I have heard of Lubbock before but I have never known the proper pronunciation. I know it now. Like all of you, I’m also surprised it was accepted. Finally a $10K win after all these bankrupt flips. That was pretty much the only good thing about tonight’s episode. I also thought the first TTU was THE BREAK OF DAWN Had the bonus puzzle of RSTLNE. Tough loss. I can tell once it come up it was tough for her too

As much as I like Ryan, they really need to teach him to be consistent on telling people when it's a good time to use the Wild Card. This is only the first time in airing order he's done it, and it turns out he's aware of the rule from his first taping even though he missed at least two other opportunities to bring it up on weeks taped after. Only mentioning it some of the time is just babying the contestant into doing it, and you could argue that he (and Pat) only do it for contestants they're rooting for. This needs to be fixed; it's too influential on the game.

While Alicia and Dean won decent amounts, this episode could’ve been a smoother ride.
I’m surprised the staff accepted Alicia’s pronunciation of Lubbock. The M would’ve done the trick for her in the Bonus Round, but she brought the moves!
It was so nice of Vanna to hug Dean at the end, but I felt real bad for Barbara. I’m glad she stayed enthusiastic throughout the game.
