As some of you may already know, Pat Sajak will have hosted Wheel of Fortune for 30 years come December 28.
What are the chances that he will acknowledge his milestone anniversary as host during the closing segment of the December 28 episode?
And, did he acknowledge his 20-year and/or 25-year anniversary as host in 2001 and 2006 respectively?

Probably a 0 percent chance since the staff seems not to care for the daytime version. As for him recognizing his 20th and 25th anniversaries of hosting Wheel, I don't think he did.

This really belongs in the Buying Your Time section, and that's where it's gonna go.

Probably a 0 percent chance since the staff seems not to care for the daytime version. If the staff doesn't seem to care about the daytime version, why on earth did they show footage from Pat Sajak's debut week on NBC with the Teen Week contestants reunited as mature adults during a segment on the syndicated version more than 20 years later? And why on earth did they show footage from the 1987 NBC St. Patrick's Day episode with Pat wearing a foam frog hat during the milestone 4,000th syndicated episode (or 3,000th?)?

Because I believe that was the Nighttime version... and it was their 5,000th episode flashbacks too, I think. I have to agree with Mark on this one, the staff just desn't care about the Daytime version...

I'd give it a gut shot chance.

Amazingly, that episode already taped, since it's the Wednesday of Best of the Best! And that was my immediate thought upon finding out when it taped! I believe I remember that the 20th and 25th anniversaries were announced. But interestingly, Vanna's 25th anniversary wasn't acknowledged, since remember that was December 13, 1982, and it wasn't on December 13, 2007. But I do think her 20th was on December 13, 2002.

Actually, that happened back in December 2007, Season 25, and they were the contestants from his first daytime show. The official website even has the clip of Pat's first opening and wishing Chuck well. I don't think the staff is afraid of the daytime version, they just don't feel the need to acknowledge it, sort of like how "The Price is Right" rarely acknowledges the Bob Barker era. It's not like they edit out contestants mentioning their parents were on the show when Chuck was host. I think Pat acknowledging his milestone or not has a 50/50 chance of happening.

Happy 30th Anniversary, Pat. It's not like they edit out contestants mentioning their parents were on the show when Chuck was host. Speaking of which, there was a girl named Sarah who played during the May 12, 2003 College Week and mentioned her mother was on in 1977. I've never seen the episode in question, but somebody once mentioned that Pat said something like "we'll have to find a copy for you" with a disgusted look on his face. Because I believe that was the Nighttime version... and it was their 5,000th episode flashbacks too, I think. I have to agree with Mark on this one, the staff just desn't care about the Daytime version... I agree with you both. And don't get me started on the painful excuse that was the 5,000th nighttime show, aka "The Overwhelmingly-Underwhelming Excuse Of A Milestone Special". I don't think the staff is afraid of the daytime version, they just don't feel the need to acknowledge it Then please, sir, kindly explain this screenshot I took from the 4,000th nighttime show: They're afraid, and clearly don't want to talk about it -- hence this, which in my opinion was an intentional error. And yet, they gladly showed clips of an Edd Byrnes pilot from '74 with the proper year and mention of NBC.
