This seems like the right subforum for a topic like this.
So I have this system that's capable of simulating Wheel of Fortune games, and has been so capable for about the last eighteen months. Finally time to make it known to all willing takers, I figure.
Apart from the fact that it runs in a text-based environment, "WOF" (the name of the simulator, which is "officially" in all caps and doesn't stand for anything at all, though you know better than that) is currently on display emulating the US season 26 game more accurately than anything else I've seen available online--probably more accurate than anything short of actually being there, in fact.
Official Page for WOF
The page is quite new, so parts may be under construction. You're probably most interested in the "For Players" (instructions) and "Play Now!" links.
I guess in contrast to some of the other topics I see here, WOF is synchronous, meaning three players have to be on at the same time in order for the game to start. This might be a problem on an upstart board, but once that's overcome, it can handle games automatically and in about 25 minutes each.
So if you can get to 3 players, go ahead, try out the game, and tell me what you think of it. Right now I see a glaring weakness in that the puzzle file is so small--270 puzzles plus 30 bonus puzzles, and many of the regulars are familiar with a large majority of them and can solve anything almost immediately. I figure some fresh faces would be able to get a different perspective on the game, and possibly even come up with a larger stash of usable puzzles so that WOF has more replay value!
