Hey, guys! I have the 1994 Deluxe Edition Wheel of Fortune PC game which I downloaded from an abandonware site awhile ago. I know that it works perfectly on Windows 95 or 98, but nothing newer. So, I have DOSBox, and I tried running it there, but every time I try, it says "This program must be run under Microsoft." Is there any way to run it under DOSBox or not? Thanks for any help!

I know the one you've got, and no, it won't. Try running Windows 98 in Microsoft Virtual PC; that should work.

Okay....how do you do that? Is Virtual PC free?

Microsoft Virtual PC itself is free from the official site but you need an installation of Windows 7 Professional or Windows 7 Ultimate that has been verified as genuine to get it to work.

If you mean me when you say William, don't count on it. I've has some troubles myself getting it to work on XP properly. I still have a computer that runs on Windows 98, but we're not using it right now. Even so, it runs well on Windows 98. So for those who still have a Windows 98 computer, please do not throw it out. You'll regret doing so one way or another if you do. I heard about a version of the same edition made especially, specifically, yet not so exclusively nowadays for Windows 95, and I am trying to get my hands on it, with no luck, not even on Ebay. Additionally, I'm also trying to get my hands on a Macintosh that can play two WOF games I badly want to play. The Mac 10 is too new for those games. I am also trying to find a WOF game for the Amiga which looks a little something like this. I can find two other WOF for the Amiga very easily, but not this one. Here's a shot of the one I'm looking for.

Silly me mixing you up with nowhammies11...
Also, not bad graphics for the time on that Amiga game.

Not necessarily. You can still download the 2007 version of Virtual PC for use on at least a Windows XP or Vista machine (and I'm sure it'll work on W7) from right here. StrangerCoug, try that link as well. Protip: You'll need to torrent, or otherwise download, a BIOS or ISO file of the Windows 98 Installation Disk (if you don't already have one kicking around somewhere). TL;DR: Click the link and download old version of Virtual PC, then find a Windows 98 Installation CD-ROM or download that too.

Does anybody know where I can download the 94/95 PC version that Sony Imagesoft made?

There's no place to download it, as far as I know. I had to buy the copy I have off of eBay...and I can't even play it on my computer because my computer is too new! haha

Does anybody know where I can download the 94/95 PC version that Sony Imagesoft made? REMOVED. We do not advocate software piracy, and we will not allow links to pirate software on the public forums.
Go onto eBay and buy a copy.

Or I suggest buying a copy on Amazon.com (where my sister bought my Jeopardy! and WOF N64 games).
But I'm surprised that your WOF game isn't working for anything newer. I'm running Windows XP, and my Jeopardy!, Millionaire, and 2-Minute Drill CD-Rom games all work fine on that OS.
