Surprise, Changing Keys, & please bring back $700, Harry! I'm enjoying the teal $500 on the wheel.

Here's what I'd like: - Make the board a perfect 14×4 rectangle. The puzzle board arches aren't in the way anymore; there's no need to take the corner spaces out.
- Bring back $700.
- Personally, I think the price of vowels is fine, but if Wheel of Fortune needs to find money from somewhere I would support raising the cost of the vowel, given it hasn't been raised from $250 since the first episode in 1975.
More when I have time. Now that I'm bothering... - Increase some of the values, especially the $300s, on the wheel. I'd like to see the wedges the Mystery Wedges sit on $1,000 in all rounds, and $1,500 is a value I want back too.
- I agree with moving $5,000 to Round 3.
- Increase the variety of prizes. The prize rotation doesn't have to be The Price is Right-esque, but having trips all the time gets boring. Do try to make them things most people would like to have. *cough, cough* The popcorn cart on TPiR *cough*

Add more Variety to prizes, Increase dollar amounts, Subsitute Prize Puzzle for Suprise Change the set. That would be fine by me. Something that's interesting about the 500 under one of the 1/2 cars is that I have the wheel of fortune phone game (2007) and underneath the wild card is $500. Very interesting.

How about: *Move the $5000 back to Round 3 *Highlight the location of the $100,000/$1 million to the home audience in post-production, much how the other side of the Mystery Wedge is shown to the home viewers. *Change the neon on the set to yellow, goldenrod or orange. *They had better not pull any more "Something big could happen. Watch 'Wheel' all next week!" promo stunts, like they did on October 13, 2010 (which included Julie Moore from October 19 holding the Million Dollar Wedge, only to lose it to Bankrupt in Round 4).
As nice as that sounds, that won't happen, and returning champions itself wouldn't work anyway with current taping practices (such as taping Culver City weeks with six episodes). Definitely agree with these, especially the last two. Their official "reason" for dubbing over Charlie sounds more of an excuse to cover up for their current taping out of airing order practices. The only reason I could see for dubbing Jim over the other tryouts for summer reruns was because Jim was confirmed as permanent announcer right after Season 28 ended. As for the last one, it made no sense that they showed an opening from the 1970s (complete with the platforms of prizes, Charlie's voice, and the "Big Wheels" theme) on the 4000th nighttime show and labeled it "1983", yet they showed clips from one of the 1974 Edd Byrnes pilots.

Two more suggestions: * If you're going to have another Vanna for a Day contest (or Pat for a Day), make sure the winner actually gets a full episode or taping day (preferably the latter) instead of two rounds. Really, "day" was a lie and there's no excuse for it. * If you do something that you already did in...say, September 1981...don't claim that your more recent one is the first time. You've already been to Portland, so please stop saying May 2012 is your "inaugural trip". Because it isn't. The only reason I could see for dubbing Jim over the other tryouts for summer reruns was because Jim was confirmed as permanent announcer right after Season 28 ended. While possible, such reasoning would also mean Wheel didn't want to pay residuals to the other guest announcers -- which really smacks of cheapness and may suggest not only an obsession with dubbing, but also that they found the other tryouts so inferior to Jim that their episodes aren't worth showing again unless Jim's dubbed over them...and some of those episodes had the announcer dubbed over Charlie. I also don't get the "too sad to hear Charlie O'Donnell so close to his death" excuse. After Johnny Olson died, The Price Is Right honored him by airing the rest of his handiwork. Wheel, on the other hand, basically erased Charlie's handiwork in favor of comparatively less-talented announcers, cheating viewers out of a legend's final shows. A simple tribute graphic during each of his 40 remaining shows would've sufficed, but no. Some guy named Ray Richmond claimed in a July 1988 newspaper article that Pat took over from Chuck in 1983, which is the only explanation I've found that's even quasi-plausible. Something isn't right if a game show goes to such lengths, they give off a creepy "Ministry of Truth" vibe. This post is why I can't enjoy the current Wheel that much -- they can't be honest about their history and explain why they do moronic things. But they're #1 in syndication, and I'm just a guy who helps out on a fan-Wiki dedicated to said #1's history...so what do I know?

In terms of the syndicated show, it is their inaugural trip.
The only thing I can think of right now: get rid of prize puzzles. Since they almost always determine who wins the game, it makes it sort of anticlimatic.
Ever heard of nostalgia? Many things can be "upgraded," but aren't to prevent returning viewers from being..."shocked," so to speak. Kind of how they don't do stuff like swap the positions of the wheel and the puzzleboard or turn the wheel on its side. Granted, this wouldn't be as jarring, but still.
Fixed quote.
