Here, you can list your favorite (or least favorite, or even just memorable) puzzle missolves from the show's history. Some of mine are: - KILL THE VAMIPRE (1976)
- THE EARTH BIRD CATCHES THE WORM (1983-84?)
- COUNTRY THAT GAVE US THE STATUE OF LIBERTY (1991)
- A GROUP OF PILL-PUSHERS (1999)
- MUSTARD-FILLED CHOCOLATE ECLAIR
- TEN-GALLON CAT
- GLEAMING WHITE SAND BEACHES (2007) (that cost the contestant $33,450 + a $6,296 Prize Puzzle trip!)
- ELEVATOR TRAIN PLATFORM (2008) (One of three puzzles missolved by the same contestant!)
- REGIS PHILMIN AND KELLY REEPA (2010) (All three contestants that day messed up by mispronouncing "PHILBILN" and/or "RIPA")

The "Regis Philmin & Kelly Reepa" was so funny! Some of my favorites are "Strawberry Lip Girls", "Self-Potato", "Wild Bingo", and "Kick It & Make It Better".

Gotta go with Fish Love myself! What was even funnier was that they put it up on the board for him after he won the bonus round.

How could anyone forget the gruesome Round 2 Prize Puzzle of May 28, 2009 of HIKING AMONG EXOTIC ANIMALS AND WILDLIFE. The best was with everything but the K revealed, one contestant called a W. Who could possibly think that HIWING is a word!

I think KILL THE VAMPIRE was pretty cute.
An interesting one I remember seeing was a team week where a person missolved a toss-up puzzle as CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE, forgetting the S at the end, and her partner supplied the missing S. Their response, oddly enough, was ruled correct, and Pat commented that "that was REAL teamwork!"

I remember that one, StrangerCoug. I thought that was kinda interesting!
I think one time, there was a puzzle that read "BARBEQUE S_IT" and a contestant guessed an H. Does anyone happen to know when this aired?

Who could possibly think that HIWING is a word! The puzzle was actually "HIKING AMONG EXOTIC PLANTS AND ANIMALS", which was missolved early as " LI VING AMONG EXOTIC PLANTS AND ANIMALS" and later as " RI DING AMONG EXOTIC PLANTS AND ANIMALS" Worse yet, the contestant that called the "W" had just picked up the MDW on her last turn!

My favorite is from Season 26, where a woman missolved the phrase "A PINCH OF THIS AND A DASH OF THAT" as "A PINCH OF THIS AND A WASH OF THAT". The funniest thing was that she was so determined it was right. When Pat told her no, she was like "No?!! " And earlier in that show, the same contestant missolved a Toss Up of "A HOLE IN ONE" as "A HOLE IN WALL". There are a lot of others I love, too, including... - Also from Season 26, numerous missolves on "WOOD-BURNING STOVE," especially one woman who thought it was "HOOD-BURNING STOVE" (what "hood"? As in the ghetto? ), but then she said the right answer just after the buzzer, and the next player flashed a "thank you" look at her and called the "W," then she was like "But...I said it first... " - From earlier Season 25, Becki loses over $33K by pluralizing "GLEAMING WHITE SAND BEACH". The fact that most of the audience starting going wild without realizing her mistake was priceless (though I didn't notice it at first either when I first saw the episode). - From a Hawaii show in Season 26, a team blows "GOING TO THE CHAPEL AND WE'RE GONNA GET MARRIED" by pronouncing "gonna" as "going to". They realized their mistake right after they said the last word. - Again from Hawaii in Season 26, a woman missolves "SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE" as " DO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE". - From Season 27, a woman solves "ITALIAN RESTAURANT" as "ITALIAN REMBRANDT" out of nervousness. - From Season 28, during a $6,000 Speed-Up Round, a contestant immediately shouts "EVERYTHING IS SUNSHINE" for "EVERYTHING IS SHIPSHAPE" without calling a letter, then tries to call a "D" right after, which obviously is not accepted. The next contestant calls the "V" and blows it even worse with "EVERYTHING IS SHIPSHORE". XDD - From late Season 28, "SUPER AND CEREAL BOWL" solved as " SUPPER AND CEREAL BOWL".

In the "A GROUP OF PILL-PUSHERS" blooper, another missolve occurred later in the round when the "W" was called. That contestant guessed "A GROUP OF WALL-WASHERS" and got buzzed out.
2 missolves for the price of 1, it seems.
One time a contestant solved BOYFRIENDS and Pat Sajak told that female contestant that she will kick herself for this when the answer is revealed. Pat then reminded her there was no "S".

^He actually said "Will wishers". I also liked how earlier in the round, Joe called a repeated B, then said "Oh, Jesus!" when he realized it was already called.

May 5, 1986. What all the clip shows neglect is the fact that he solved the puzzle almost immediately afterward.

Here's some more: - TOO SECRET (1983, daytime)
- EIGHT-SIDED OCTAGON (1992)
- RIP THE TIE OFF (1992)
- AN UNKNOWN FACT (2011) (resulted in a $100,000 loss)
- BATTLE HYMN OF THE REPUBLIC (2011) (the category was "What Are You Doing?", not "Song Title"!)

I never really had a favorite, but I did get annoyed from the players who tried to solve and said TIE ACROPOLIS, TOE ACROPOLIS, etc... the word was as simple as THE!
