The past 7 years have seen some of the finest television on Nighttime! Millions of dollars have been given away, but it ain't stopping tonight, as over $217,000 is just waiting to be won, on... Wheel of Fortune At Its Finest! And these three new players are here to see that they win a fortune.
Christy Fink: A secretary for a law firm.
Bob Newburger: An assistant manager for a major supermarket chain.
Renee Weaver: A homemaker and she works for a very major something.
Which of these first time players will have enough time to rack up all of the money? Will Christy send Bob and Renee to court? Will Bob force Christy and Renee to go through the Express Lane with more than 10 items? Or will Renee confuse Christy and Bob and win? Take a look to find out.
The big $1,000 is the top dollar amount for the first round and Bankrupt is the dollar stealer, which wouldn't help these players at all. Now, here's the first puzzle, it's a large People puzzle and the People have an apostrophe.
And right before the show, Christy won the draw, so she gets to spin first. She starts by putting up the Ns and going for the obvious AND, but then she calls a bad S on the yellow $500. Bob puts up a good deal of letters including all of the vowels, but Pat fails to inform him of that and he ends up buying the already called A. Renee then fills in the rest of the consonants...
All she has to do is read the puzzleboard and she did, JOHN MCENROE AND TATUM O'NEAL for $700.
Christy:
Bob:
Renee: $700
Bankrupts: 0
Lose a Turns: 0
Duds: 2 (Christy - S - $1,850), (Bob - Repeat A - $1,200)
Missolves: 0
After that interesting Round 1, there's a $2,500 wedge on the wheel and on the other side of that wheel is a prize, a collection of handbags, briefcases, scarves, and more, altogether worth $4,575 (marked LEATHER on wheel)! Before & After is the Round 2 category.
Bob starts us off and immediately uncovers... $7,500 worth of Ns! But then he buys a dud E. Over to Renee, who puts up some letters, but then calls a bad R. Christy gets to spin and also gets to dud, with an M on $750. Back to Bob, who has $7,250 on the table and he'll buy the O. But then his luck goes bad and he hits Lose a Turn. Renee gets to spin again and gets close to Lose a Turn, but she loses her turn anyway with an H. Christy lights up the P, but then BLOWS IT by calling an L on $150. Bob's luck seems to not be gone...
Since he takes advantage of this opportunity and solves STAND PAT NIXON for $7,000!
Christy:
Bob: $7,000
Renee: $700
Bankrupts: 0
Lose a Turns: 1 (Bob - $7,000)
Duds: 5 (Christy (2) - M, L - $0, $200), (Bob - E - $7,250), (Renee (2) - R, H - both with $950)
Missolves: 0
So far, Bob has racked up a big wad of cash, but it's anyone's game, now that there's a $3,500 wedge on the wheel. And the next category is a Phrase and it's a very large one!
Renee starts this round and calls an S, but surprisngly, there's not even one! Then Christy gets some letters up before calling a dud L on $550. Over to Bob, who starts us off with FIVE Ts at $800 a piece. He then goes shopping for the vowels, buying EIOA before spinning again. He calls the H, but then duds with an R after all of that on $700. Renee is now in control...
And racks up $1,500 with GETTING A JUMP ON THE COMPETITION.
Christy:
Bob: $7,000
Renee: $2,200
Bankrupts: 0
Lose a Turns: 0
Duds: 3 (Christy - L - $1,700), (Bob - R - $3,200), (Renee - S - $0)
Missolves: 0
Now anyone can get the jump on the competition now that there's a $5,000 wedge on the wheel and joining it is a Gift Certificate to a French jewelry compay whose name I cannot type correctly & a diamond and ruby band valued at $10,750 (marked RING on wheel)! And the puzzle is yet another Phrase.
Christy starts Round 4, but doesn't keep her turn for long after she calls a bad H on the orange $200. Bob then puts up the R before dudding with an S on the orange $900. Renee does some work before the bells ring and Pat has to give the wheel a final spin. And just like last time, he lands on $800. Renee starts with an A, but can't solve it. Then Christy lights up the L...

It's a new week, so there are new prizes, and they include... a $48,000 annuity! A convertible worth over $39,000! A gem package valued at $40,000, a motorhome worth $50,000 and the big and always fun $25,000 cash! Now he has to choose a card to try and win that prize, so he takes the H card and hands it over to Pat. To win what the envelope holds, he must solve a Thing.
Some of the most common letters in the alphabet will be given to him, RSTLNE.
A good head start, one third of the way there, and now he chooses CDMA, the opposite of what Andy usually goes for...
And this is going to be a very hard puzzle for him to solve, but I think he'll be able to get it...
Of course he can! But the real question is, what did he win? He won... the convertible! The Chevrolet convertible valued at $39,558, making his one day total $46,558 cash and prizes and he will be back on the next episode of Wheel of Fortune!
