Daytime Wheel Recap: 10/26/1988

So, I can only find one 1988 Daytime WoF episode. After this recap, I'll be recapping a Season from the Nighttime WoF in place of Daytime WoF. Which one, find out later.

$750 is the top dollar amount for Round 1 and there's a black thing next to it. Hint-hint, it takes away all of your money. However, it doesn't take away your prizes because once you buy a prize... good luck trying to give it back. Take a look at this Phrase.



Jeannette won the draw backstage, so she goes first, but she calls a dud R on $350. Lenna then gets on a roll...

Elizabeth finally gets to spin the wheel and she doesn't hesitate to make another perfect round...



...with DISPOSABLE DIAPERS for $4,250 and she has to spend all of that in the Wheel of Fortune Den.

On a Shopping Episode, there's time for Round 4! Which means Jeanette still has a chance and her puzzle is a Person, which doesn't always mean Proper Name.



But Jeanette's luck is still bad... she hits Lose a Turn on her second spin tonight. Lenna then puts the N up before calling a dud R... on $1,500. Elizabeth is able to cash in $1,500 with the D, but calls a bad S on $350. Jeanette has another chance, but she's dudding with a T on $400. Then Lenna's score is turned into $0 thanks to Bankrupt. Elizabeth calls the L, but buys an I... as in "I don't like that move", no Is. Back to Jeannette, she lands on $700, but her luck isn't improving since there isn't even one G. Lenna hits Lose a Turn right after. Then Elizabeth duds with a P. Jeannette then lights up her first letter that isn't a dud, a C! But then Pat has to give the wheel a final spin and on his first spin, consonants are worth Bankrupt, so he tries it again and this time he has $350. Jeannette calls another dud, a W. Lenna calls the Ks...



...but FAILS at solving with NICKELODEON, which isn't a Person! Then the ladies call three duds in a row, followed by another dud by Elizabeth. Back to Jeannette...



Who is finally able to solve KNUCKLEHEAD for her first and only $1,150 and she'll spend it in the Wheel of Fortune Spa.

So far, Elizabeth has racked up $4,250 in prizes and now she will play the Bonus Round for whatever she wants. It looks like she is interested in that baby grand piano, a $9,629 prize! She has to solve a Phrase to win that, however.

30% of the way there so far, she chooses some very interesting letter choices, KDW and O. Needless to say, it looks like she does know what it is, but...



...those choices were what she was actually hoping for, she didn't know it with RSTLNE. But does she know it now?



No she doesn't, with her one wrong guess of SHAPE ON BOY, Pat says SHAME ON YOU and she doesn't win the baby grand piano. Albeit, her one day total is $4,250 and she will return on the next episode.
