But while I can understand Love Connection having it, why do the Wheel clips have a GSN logo...?

Hmm, I guess that means the episode is in the GSN library as well. Also, notice how the GSN bug is the earliest version of the 2004 logo, which touched the top of the screen. I'm pretty sure the bug changed to the more square/non-touching version before the Merv tribute, so it looks like GSN had this episode all along, which isn't all that surprising since they supposedly have the Shopper's Bazaar pilot, too.

The only reason I can think of is rights issues with Gordon MacRae's estate. Also, I think GSN's holdings include those held at Paley Center, as both have the June 7, 1976 show. |
