WheelFan17, the original founder of this site, on 1/21/09, has elected to step down.

We all thank Mark for laying a fantastic foundation down for all of us, but he has elected to be more involved with games on Skype instead. That is entirely okay, it's his choice, and I am not one to judge him for that. Because of this, WheelFan17 no longer has ANY say in the direction and future of this site, going forward.

That leaves, you, the reader with a good question: Who is your new main admin now? That would be me, Prizes. I maintain a high quality posting site, that can mix in a little bit of fun, as well. Follow the rules, and you'll be fine; disobey and the banhammer shall falleth on your cranium.

Because I am your new site owner (not Mark), this is a new era for our site. We will strive for high quality posting only; if it looks or reads stupid, don't post it. As such, we desire to be a high quality WOF page in which posters are viewed as knowledgeable, and the site can be considered a top resource for any serious game show fan.

As for this thread, I'll keep it open for suggestions on how to improve the site more or market it better. Please keep suggestions serious and sensible. You may also share memories or favorite moments you had with WheelFan17, the retired admin who no longer runs the board.

Last but not least, welcome aboard the new WOFLovers; your upgrade to a first class site comes free with your quality postings.

I just want to take this time to wish you well as you have left the staff. Most of all, thank you! Thanks for having faith in someone like me, who was green and didn't know much of anything, and making me a mod of just one section--you can see how much I have blossomed in 2+ years, and it's all because of you. Bannings have to do with the future of the site, as they pertain on whether or not a member is retained. You do the math.

Basically, his role now is that of any other non-mod (or admin); just a normal user. The only exception is that he gets a special label as such. Likewise, any currently active ex-mods (or admins) would receive the same label of retired staff. They would also have no power or the like; they would just be regular members going forward.

Well, we had a good run with the site. For those that don't know, Mark and I sort of co-founded WOFL. I say "sort of" because while Mark made all the "major" decisions, he took a lot of my input regarding aesthetics and things. I was once a mod of the Host Your Own section when WOFL first launched, but then I somewhat forgot about the site. When I came back, there had been many changes including my demotion to "regular user". I hold absolutely no bitterness of any kind towards the current regime; in fact I love what they've done with the site in the last 6 months or so. Hats off to Prizes, cu2010, MarioGS, woffan4ever, SuperKingT, wheelgenius, and everyone else who migrated here after the Sony hacking to join the site and make it what it is today.
