Nighttime Wheel Recap: 9/19/2007

For once, I like the theme week name... hopefully these players are in the casino spirit, going all in or defeating the house *minimum*. Let's start!

We've got glitter on more than one wedge, a $10,000 third and the light blue $2,500 contain big money & sparkly treasures! While I snack on these pretzels, the category is Food & Drink.



Robbie solved both toss-ups and that second one allows her to start this first round. She takes a bit of cardboard off the wheel, the vegas.com Gift Tag for two Ts. Then the wheel takes something of hers, Lose a Turn pulls her turn away. Becki grabs hold of the wheel and it travels right into $2,500, where an N will be cashed in! Another spin is taken, but she's dudding with an L on the green $500. Stephen starts with an S, next comes that Casino trip, he'll pick that up with a pair of Rs! An E quadrupled is bought before Stephen calls a dud F. Robbie puts up the triple Ps & a single A, as well as a double M on the pink $900. She takes another $250 out for the triple Is, leaving the Vowels Depatment out of business for this round. One last wild spin comes, giving her the Wild Card with a K...

You want silver glitter? Well, you'll have to wait, but silver is on the wheel with the Jackpot that ncreases every time the wheel is spun, as long as you land on a dollar amount. Also being presented is a dark pink $3,500 wedge! There's another wedge on the wheel, the "25" wedge which has 25 of something and for some strange and mysterious reason, they took a shot of it on the Round 1 wheel. Rhyme Time is the Round 2 puzzle category and... it's not small?!



Time for Becki to get back in the game. She'll begin with two Rs & a T totalling up to $2,100. Her next spin clings right on to the red $800, just avoiding Lose a Turn, where she'll get three Ns and five Es, as well as two Os. More singles and multiple vowels come along before her two Is finishes up the vowels completely. The Free Spin is landed on and she'll pick it up with a trio of Ss, she'll also get $300 of each one! She spins one more time for the B...



...but she didn't mean it, she's spinnng again! After the $700 C, however...



Her second "One more time..." saying was meaningful, since she got $7,150 plus the Free Spin! Her lead is $50 over Robbie... can this game get any more interesting?!

Big money, big mysteries, but a not-so-big lead right now, the lead is only by $50! The Big Money Wedge is on the wheel, you can spin the wheel for $25,000 if it pops up and the mystery wedges are also taking cover, one side has a Bankrupt ad the other has a cool $10,000! This third round's category is Place and Stephen's spinning before he's even told that it's a Prize Puzzle!



Stephen hits the green $300, but his turn quickly ends with a dud R. Robbie steps in by spinning the orange & pink $300 for an S & a D. She makes a purchase, an E, that isn't a single since there are two more than one. A loss of turn comes next via Lose a Turn, so it's over to Becki. She goes for the Ns first and then she buys a quarter of a dozen As. More spinning and buying, the C and Is are put up before she lands on the pink $900 and she calls the pair of Hs. Vowels are gone, so she'll have to spin again and that spin might be very profitable... it's the Big Money Wedge holding $25,000 right now! A T is called... and there is a T, so $25,000 goes into her bank! Her next spin ends up on Lose a Turn... that would normally be very costly, but someone currently has a Free Spin, of course she's turning it in! Becki completes the second word with a W and her streak of big money is still going strong with a $3,500 hit! An L is what she wants and an L is what she gets. One more spin and the Gs are coming...



Becki will solve... but she is... INCORRECT! She has the puzzle right, but she pluralized BEACH, so that mistake WILL cost her $33,450! That Free Spin can't save her, so it's over to Stephen. He wants a bit of money, so he spins once...



All Stephen has to do is read and he's correct with GLEAMING WHITE SAND BEACH for $700, but with all of this money mayhem, at *and I* forgot it was a Prize Puzzle, he's oing to the Dominican Republic, that vacation is valued at $6,296! As for Becki... as painful as that was, it could've been worse, imagine what would've happened if she called G on $3,500... there ould be even more agony of defeat there.
