Nighttime Wheel Recap: 9/11/2006

I'll be doing some Season 24 recaps now because it's *almost as* great *as* like Season 25! This Season was also the first to be in high definition and the very first to have *truly* green wedges. Because WoF is now in HD, Pat's covering his face...

Heather Spanbower: Also a teacher, teaching fifth grade along with karate.

These are the first three players of the 24th Season, now they'll try and solve another toss-up!

The light blue $2,500 wedge is now on the wheel along with the $10,000 third, but no Wild Card... yet. This first round category is Food & Drink, Pat mentions that this is the official replacement category for On the Menu.



What a puzzle that is! A lot of letters in this one and Heather has the right to begin this first round. The first spin of the season ends up on the red $300 and Heather's first call is a high definition R. She spins again and picks up the Free Spin & Gift Tag with two Ts and an N. She makes a purchase of four Es and that cleans her out of spendable money, so she's spinning again. Her next spin is a close call, but it clings onto the $10,000 third and she'll pick up the entire wedge with three Ss! She spins twice more & buys twice more...



Heather solves TOMATO SOUP & A GRILLED CHEESE SANDWICH for $1,600, the $10,000 wedge, the Gift Tag, and the Free Spin! She's got more cardboard than a cardboard box company right now...

Round 2 has a new & improved $3,500 wedge on the wheel, also on the wheel is a Jackpot wedge that increases every time the wheel has touched a cash amount. The Round 2 puzzle features wordplay, it's Before & After.



Michelle will begin Round 2, with two Rs for $1,800. She takes $500 out of that to buy the E and As. Next, she spins again, but it's a Lose a Turn hit. Brandon finally has a turn and his first spin hits the blue $300, where he'll find a T. Two spins later, he calls the N for a bit more. He spins again and that spin is $3,500, he'll have two Ps! He calls the Cs next and he'll grab the trip off the wheel! After buying the Os...



Brandon cashes in big with PRECIOUS CARGO PANTS, he has $9,250 and the prize!

$3,500 is still out there, but coming in are two mystery wedges, one being worth $10,000! The third round category is Place and it just so happens to be a Prize Puzzle!



Brandon will begin this time, but it's a bad start courtesy of Bankrupt. Heather has control now and she lands on the red $300 to find... no Ns. She's quickly using her Free Spin, which may have been a great idea since her next spin is the mystery wedge covering the blue $500! She'll get an R and the decision is pretty clear that she's going for the $10,000...



...but the other side is a BANKRUPT, costing her absolutely nothing except her turn. That mystery wedge Bankrupt was rather silent... someone forgot to use the whistle! Michelles takes her first spin of the round, a $450 S and thn she his the other mystery wedge acting as a $1,000 wedge. She calls the Ts and she lands on it again later on, that's for two Hs. The second word has everything shown and Michelle silently screams in stress before spinning again. She does good with the pink $900 and she has a P... but her next spin is $700, where she will call a dud B! That will cost her $5,550 since...



...Brandon solves GOURMET CHOCOLATE SHOP for absolutely nothing. Well.. there's always the vacation to Belgium, that's from LastMinuteTravel.com & it's a $4,500 trip!

Heather & Brandon have won a lot of money so far, who will be able to win? Probably not Michelle, unless Pat hits $5,000. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that $5,000 is now on the wheel! The fourth puzzle is a People puzzle.



Heather will begin the round and she does, but not the way she wanted with a Bankrupt. Michelle takes a spin and repeats Heather's move on the other Bankrupt. Brandon is able to avoid Bankrupt once, with a $300 R, but it gets him on his second spin. Heather's second spin this round is $550 and she will have an N, along with A and E. She uncovers a trio of Ts next, but that used all the time...
