Wheel of Fortune Recap: 2/1/1990

$1,000 is the highest amount for this first round, the wheel consists of nothing but cash! Now, let's see the first puzzle, which is, for the third time in a row, Phrase!



Alan won the draw yet again, so he'll start. He begins with a triple N for a small $600 in total. Alan will then buy an A an choose a D, which means that the fourth word is AND. Two more vowels are purchased, an E and an I. For $300 each, Alan said he would like to buy a G, but he'll be sold the two Gs. He gets a T for $350 more and then he's not buying, but being sold two Hs for $200 and he also has the Free Spin in possession! He completes the vowels via the Os and then receives an R. Alan's still going strong, but he calls a dud M on the orange $200. He's handing over the Free Spin, but that can't save him from another dud, an L on the red $200. Chris calls all but one consonant remaining...

Chris will begin Round 2 and his first spin is an okay amount... $2,500! He will call the obvious S and then he spins. Chris lands on the orange $200 and wants an N... as in no, no Ns. Paul takes his first spin of the night and $2,500 is getting a lot of action this round! There are a pair of Rs to cash in on and he'll spin again. He goes for a T on the purple $400, to find that it's a dud. Alan doesn'tgive $2,500 a break, he hits it too! He calls the two Fs and buys four Os...



Alan wants to solve very early, which he is successful with FREDERICK'S OF HOLLYWOOD! That gives him a quick $4,750.

The top dollar has increased by $1,000 and it has a new look, $3,500 is now on the wheel in its pink glittery form! This episode features some wordplay, Before & After.



Paul will begin Round 3 and it can be a very big start since he hit $3,500! He goes for an N... but he can only find FOUR of them! Another spin is underway, but it's too slow for $3,500 and his call of G... is a dud. Alan spins twice for a pair of Ts and an L before he buys an O and oddly enough, there are none of them. Chris calls the S, but then spends the majority of his money on a U that's both odd and a dud. Paul hits a big amount, $900, but R isn't up there either! Alan calls the P and then goes shopping for the As and Is. He decides to go for it, but that may not have been the best move thanks to Lose a Turn. Chris's first spin of his revived turn clings on to the pink $500 where he'll complete he first word with a B. Then he goes again and that's a $3,500 hit for an F! Next...



Chris attemts to solve... but he is WRONG with BANANA SPLIT INFINITUM! That gives Paul a big advantage...

After that very interesting Round 3, there's now a $5,000 wedge shining on the wheel and joining it is a second prize!



Very nice and now let's get to the fourth puzzle, which is Thing.



Alan will start and he does with four pairs of Ns, Ts, Es, and Is, giving him $1,700. He spins aain, but then he's dudding with an R on the yellow $500. Chris touches the neighboring wedge of $250, but there are no Ss. Paul starts his R4 run by picking up the Ski vacation and calling two Ds for $300 under there. He goes one last time for those two Cs on the big $1,500..



Paul racks up even more with INCOME TAX DEDUCTION, the ski vacation & $3,600!
