Nighttime Wheel Recap: 6/8/2007 (Season 24 Finale)

Well, this is it! The Season 24 Finale of Wheel of Fortune, the last episode to have the yellow $300 exposed in every round, the last episode to not have the red $300 exposed in every round, the last episode to have Bankrupt in the red $300 spot, the last episode with the Season 24 theme, etc... I can go on all day.

Yolanda won that toss-up, so she'll be starting this round and she'll pick up the Wild Card immediately with an R! Then she lands on the green $500, but there aren't any Ns. Dave gives the wheel a spin and he becomes the first Bankrupt victim of the night. Rachael puts up the triple T for $900 and then she buys that E. Then she hits the yellow variety of $300 for an L, then an S on a larger amount. She makes another purhase, but it's a bad one - no As. Yolanda immediately duds with a C on the Gift Tag, so it's over to Dave. He hits the blue $500 first for a V, then buys the Os before spinning twice more...

The new, the improved, and the stylish $3,500 is out on the wheel now and so is the silvery Jackpot wedge that increases every time the wheel moves. Food & Drink is the category this time and the puzzle is huge!



Dave will start this time and he immediately gets a pair of Ns in the puzzle on the future MDW spot. He'll make a purchase of E and there are four. He spins again and its $3,500, that will bring up the Jackpot and his T call... is going to put him at five figures, there are FOUR! He'll definitely be buying now, a triple A can help him out followed by three Rs for that France trip! He goes ahead and buys another vowel - one U, then spins again and avoids that Bankrupt for a pair of Cs. He cleans up the vowels next, the Is and O, followed by another spin, that clings on to... BANKRUPT! That cost him $15,550 and the France trip, it can't get any more painful than that! Rachael's turn now and she his that top dollar for an S! Then she calls the B and that gives her safety since the Free Spin is now hers, she spins again for the M next. Then she lands on that orange $800 and decides to try the C for easy money, except you can't repeat it! Looks like she's using the Free Spin. She'll spin again and maybe she can make up for that C call with a couple Gs on $3,500! Then she calls a K for that Gift Tag brought to you by Ricardo. She spins one last time for the F and then she figures it out...

$3,500 remains on that wheel, but now two new wedges have arrived, they are both the mystery wedges! One can be worth $10,000, but the other is the cleaning Bankrupt. Thing is the category for this round and a Prize Puzzle, it is!



Rachael will begin this time, but Bankrupt doesn't help her. We go to Yolanda and for the first time since Round 1, she spins and her first spin is the mystery wedge! That's the one underneath the blue $500, she calls the R and she's all ready to flip it...



...it's the $10,000! She has no money though, so a spin is going to happen. Then she spins again and just avoids Bankrupt for three Ss at $600 each. She then uses some of that money to buy a trio of Es, as well as a single O. She spins again and she BARELY makes it out of Lose a Turn! Then she calls the N, but that'll make her lose her turn anyway. Dave also makes a close call with Lose a Turn and he puts the F in there. Then he hits the red $800 for a triple L, followed by the last consonant multiple of two Ts. He prchases the last multple, A...



Dave solves this puzzle for $3,150 and he might smell THE SMELL OF SALTY SEA AIR in Jamaica! That vacation is worth an even $6,000, putting him in second place once again.
