sites.google.com/site/wofpuzzlecompendium/Basically, it's a compilation of all the puzzles used on syndicated Wheel...or as many as we can find. Its basic purpose is as a research tool, to find things like repeating puzzles. Eventually, I may try to do other stuff with it.

Looking good so far, Guint! I always wonder about some of these puzzles being recycled - now we can finally have a resource to answer that recurring question.

Looks good. Is there any way to sort the colums (by date, type, etc.)? Here are a couple of other puzzle archives: www.WheelOfFortuneSolutions.com/ scroll down to the "previous day's puzzles". It goes back to 2005. dr.homelinux.net:81/wheel/ (you'll have to copy and paste) goes back to late 2003, but doesn't list the categories.

I'd have to write a JavaScript program, and right now, I'm still getting used to html. It will, however, definitely be considered for the future.
Currently, one way you can sort that info is to open the search feature on your browser (Ctrl + F for PC, Command + F for Mac), then type in the desired info. (DISCLAIMER: Family currently appears once more than it should because the word "family" was recently used in a puzzle.)
Also, thanks for the links.

I have already noticed one particular missed puzzle: "A HAPPY MEAL" categorized as a THING from Dec. 19, 2001's Bonus Round. It was the first $100,000 win.

This is still a work in progress. Currently, it only contains puzzles from 11/15/11 on. I will focus on adding more in later, but right now, I'm currently working on a related side project, then I'll be trying to work on Mario's suggestion, which I want to get done sooner than later so as to avoid having to retype tons of info.

Thank You Guint. I understand that it's a work in progress but hopefully you have the puzzle solutions guide page(from the episodes that are actually available in the tape/DVD trading circuit of course) that date back to the '80s as well.

You misspelled my Round 1 puzzle from the first game, just so you know.
Otherwise, good start.

Thanks. I'll fix it. Also, feel free to PM me any mistakes you see. We're all human. 12/23/11 EDIT: Creation of Seasonal Compendiums. All of September and most of October 2008 are currently in it. Also, under the Puzzle Categories, you can find frequency charts for categories per season (Season 26 only so far). These are heavily based off of Scorpz's PG Frequency charts. More to come in the future. Happy searching!

Guint, I'd like to inform you that with the Puzzle Compendium you're busying on can really help the loyal Wheel Watchers very nicely and the Season Compendium is what you're working on and that's great, but the easy episode air date and puzzle guide trackings may go as far back as Season 7(the only season with the chevron backdrops, the first season with the current sound effects packages, and the first season in Studio 33) if your season compendium pages can go that far back. After the Season 7 premiere and before Season 14, the only weeks of episodes that needed air date help were/are the Celebrity/Special Charity weeks, College and Family Weeks and any season in between that GSN has never bothered to rerun.

(Yes, I know it's been months since this thread was touched. It's relevant information. Deal with it. ) Well, after a long time, I have written up compendiums for Seasons 1-20. But, as you can see, they are all (save Season 7) pretty bare. Which is where you can come in! If you have (a) show(s) from Seasons 1-20 that you would like to have me add to the compendium, post it here or PM me. If you do so, what I would like (for each show) is: -Full list of puzzles and their categories (full shows only, please). -Trivia puzzle answers, if applicable. -Denote Prize Puzzles, Puzzlers, and Preview Puzzles. (FAIL ) -A DATE, if all so possible. If you can't find a date, make your best guess. Hopefully soon I'll have Seasons 21-25 done.

First off, two corrections to the daytime compendium: * 3/"2" and "3"/82 were actually 3/11 and 12. (Unless you know something I don't. ) * 12/"21"/86 was actually 12/22. -Full list of puzzles and their categories (full shows only, please). Unfortunately, sometimes all that's available are partials -- a clip here, a chunk of an episode there... I'm not telling you to change your stance, Guint -- I'm just pointing this out. -A DATE, if all so possible. If you can't find a date, make your best guess. I'm afraid that making a best guess in this circumstance may lead to spreading misinformation, especially regarding Seasons 1-6 -- of the 79 episodes and clips I have access to from that timeframe, only 25 have a cemented airdate. The rest come to either a set of months (ranging from two to five), a single month, or (very rarely) a specific week. I cross-reference and pay attention to set details, comments, and commercials...and many times, all I can come up with is a timeframe. Without episode numbers and contestant names from GSN or somesuch, the only puzzles I feel confident in posting are those I can accurately date. (Dated partials are included below in the event that somebody can fill in the gaps.) 9/19/83 (Premiere: Jeff/Leslie/Linda) Person: BURT LANCASTER Phrase: AN EYE FOR AN EYE AND A TOOTH FOR A TOOTH Thing: CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM *Bonus Round* Place: SEAFOOD RESTAURANT 9/21/83 (Kathy/Janet/Barry) Quotation (R2): THIS LITTLE PIG HAD ROAST BEEF 9/22/83 (Lou/Cindy/Karen) Phrase: BIGGER AND BETTER Things: VITAL STATISTICS Place: THE PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF CHINA *Bonus Round* Person: SPENCER TRACY 11/29/83 (#S-52, VTR 8/28: Francine/Kim/Paul Schindler) Person (R3): WILLIAM F BUCKLEY JR 12/19/84 (Kathe/Esther/Dennis) Phrase: THE PATTER OF LITTLE FEET Phrase: SOUTHERN HOSPITALITY Phrase: NOTHING TO WRITE HOME ABOUT Things: DINNER RESERVATIONS *Bonus Round* Place: SEA OF GALILEE 2/12/87 (future Oprah staffer LeGrande Green's appearance, VTR 1/18) *Bonus Round* Thing: CHOLESTEROL More dated puzzles to come as soon as I watch more episodes.

A couple of things I noticed in the HYO compendium, just minor, though. First: CHOCLATE RAIN BY TAY ZONDAYChocolate is spelled wrong. It is categorized as a proper name, but I bet it was a Song & Artist. Lastly, it says I used the puzzle in my third game. I've never used that puzzle. Heck, I've never even heard of the song! hahahaha One last thing... GLITTER ON THE FRONT PORCH (What's That Song?) from my 8th episode has the bonus answer listed as LONG SHACK. It's actually LOVE SHACK. Just some things I thought you'd like to know. Edit: Something else I just noticed in the same section: PON DY REPLAY BY RHIANNA, the "DY" is supposed to be "DE."

Guys...let's not use this thread to point out minor typos in Guint's compendium. Send him a PM for that. Thanks!

O.K., so after 1 week (note that everything gets updated over the weekend, just an FYI )... Added: -This week's shows/DPG (the usual) -All the shows that Daniel had. -Both shows that were recapped here. Issues: - Daytime date issues FIXED - HYO Compendium mistakes Compendium has been completely rewritten. -Incomplete shows: Expect a list of them soon. While they won't be put into the actual compendium, they will soon get recognition. -Dating Issue: Expect disclaimers galore, as well as a more detailed (more importantly, accurate) listing on the site. To be added soon: -Acknowledgements.
