Hope you all will have a great 2012 and I feel this board will have more members in the upcoming New Year. Thanks to all the admins and moderators for a great board.
MOVED to the News section- I intended to start a thread about this as an announcement, but got beaten...so I moved this one over instead.

Happy New Year, guys!
It's been a whirlwind year here at WOFLovers, with massive growth over the course of the year to make us what we are today. None of this would have been possible without you guys, who drive the content of this site and provide wonderful information about the show.
On that note, we have some huge plans for the year 2012. I'm not going to go into full detail on them now, but they're huge. Right now we're still in the initial planning phases, but we hope to get more prepared within the coming months. We're excited about it, and I hope you will be too.
In the short term, just a few things. One, the exciting fourth season of our Daily Puzzle Game will kick off Monday, with the exciting new Double Play. In addition, we will celebrate the start of our fourth full year online next month, and we might have a couple small surprises to go with that. You never know what will pop up around here, either...
One quick note before I turn discussion over to you- I have done some cleaning up of the site over the past few days. Most of the things done should remain unnoticed.
Have a safe and happy 2012!

Yeah, 2011 was pretty eventful regarding Wheel and this place -- the ones that stick out the most in my mind were... * The birth of the History Wiki on April 27. * The demise of the Sony Boards sometime afterward. * That whole brouhaha with Jim Thornton getting dubbed over others because the show wanted to "establish" him (read: not pay royalties). * Charlie O'Donnell getting a lovely tribute video in July, which didn't get shared with the public because, you know, we wouldn't want to see that multimedia extravaganza. * Sony issued takedowns of Wheel and Jeopardy! stuff from YouTube, which...didn't really work. * I got the first Milton-Bradley board game from 1975 on December 25. (Hey, it's relevant -- some History Wiki info got updated as a result. ) Aaaaaand from where I'm sitting, about 52 minutes to go.

Well, a year ago, this site was dead. PERIOD. I'm sure Jon would agree with me 100%. Except for a small handful, Jon, Mark, Andy, and I were the only real active members. In March, Kori joined, and in May, cu joined, and these two guys have forever changed this site for the better. I personally cannot thank them enough for what they've done. In a short time, they have been promoted to Admins and they rightfully deserve that title. I also moved up in my rank as a staffer now holding the global moderator position alongside Mario. I want to thank Jon, cu, and Kori for entrusting me with a job that takes a lot of responsibility. This whole experience has really taught me a great deal. Thanks again to Mark, who departed our staff a few months ago. Thanks for all you did in the past for the site, like creating it...haha ;D As we look to the new year, I can promise you that WoFL will only get bigger and better, so stay tuned for all the great things we will have in store for 2012, which will bring about the 30th season of Wheel, which I can assure you we will celebrate accordingly. God bless, and Happy New Year 2012 everybody!!

I know I had a good year...joined two forums. Now on one of them, after just roughly 3 months, I already have 3 little awesome things under my name. In real life, in hasn't been the best of years, but I am really grateful for these two events. Hope to contribute more to the site, and to add more to my little compendium, which has grown over the course of just two weeks. When I first lurked these board...has it really been 8 months now? Geez. Anyway, when I first lurked these boards, this site did seem rather bleh. I kind of stopped lurking until about July, and the site grew overnight. I then started really lurking when G-R crashed, and before too long, I joined up. Now look at how great this site has become. And I think this the record for my most wordy post.

2011 has been a great year! As sad as it was to lose Charlie, Jim hasn't spoiled the show. And it has been great to see all the guest announcers in 2011, especially history being made with the first female Lora Cain. But it's great that they have a great permanent announcer in Jim.
Another great change to the show in 2011 is the Mystery moving to Round 2 and the Prize Puzzle being a fixed Round 3 and not the Mystery Round. Fortunately, there's only one more show with that, and we've now had our last show of the Prize Puzzle either as the Mystery Round or Round 2. Hopefully the latter, so that all shows from here on out have the first three rounds with one and only one special feature.
