Those dubbed Wheel shots have nothing to do with Bonus Round wins. In fact, a lot of them occured late last season. Nobody knows for sure, but it is believed that the camera didn't film the spin properly, so they had to add in other spins from other rounds or episodes. Some of these were even shown to be the wrong wedge.

There's four examples I can think of:
* Since February 1997, any Final Spins that land on non-cash wedge are cut out, resulting in a sometimes pretty noticeable jump cut when the camera goes to a close-up shot.
* The Speed-Up itself is also edited sometimes -- if the camera cuts to Pat, a "null" cycle (three dud letters in a row) was edited out.
* They once chopped out an entire round in November 1992 because the puzzle was VANNA'S PREGNANT and she had miscarried before the episode aired. A short film on the location they were taping at was shown in its place, followed by Pat claiming they had "played a round" during said video.
* Finally, there's the strange, nonsensical, and unnecessary dubbing over Charlie O'Donnell last season and dubbing Jim Thornton over the other sub-announcers last Summer. The show's given reasons for doing so were just as nonsensical, and I was quite upset for some time afterward.
(Sorry if I sound angry, there -- I'm not.)

Dunno. theajohnson, why would you delete the first post? Did you intend for this thread to be deleted? If so, well, you can't delete threads...only staff can. All- please watch your use of the "delete" button. It is not intended to be used to delete posts after the question in them has been answered- it causes the string of posts afterwards to make no sense, and it prevents those looking at the thread later from making any sense of it. The "delete" button should be used only in the case of an accidental double post, or deleting a post that makes little to no sense after you've posted it. Most of you are good about this, so don't think I'm chewing you all out- I'm not. Anyways, since this thread now makes no sense thanks to the OP deleting the...well, OP... LOCKED
