What is your favorite sports team, what sport do they play, and what league are they in? I am a huge fan of the Boston Bruins ice hockey team of the National Hockey League (NHL).

Hmmm... I gotta say you'll hate me after this, but I don't trash talk, and I show respect for the Bruins. MLB: Yankees. Grew up in the Yankee part of CT, then the city itself these days, so, yeah. NBA: Knicks or Heat- unsure, one where I live now, the next where I live next year. Get back to me on a year about that. NFL: NY Giants, same reason as the Yankees. I tend to attend a good deal of their games since the dates are good for me, like this Sunday, when I'm flying out for the weekend to see the game in the Stick (and close a house deal). I saved the NHL for last because it's my favorite, and because my teams feud so much with yours over the years, the Canadiens. This goes beyond dedicated fanship, though, I also do NHL Scouting work for the team, and, as such, know inside info. This is my team since I lived in the Belle Ville a few years back, you basically have no choice there, eh? But, hey, this year, I got nothing for respect for the Bruins, though, Marchand needs to clean his act up a bit. At least my team can Fail for Nail this year, watch us still pick Kerdiles.

Gonna copy/paste from the other thread, plus give reasons why I like each team: College hockey: Clarkson Golden Knights (my alma mater, plus, it's a small school D-I team playing in an arena filled with real hockey fans...you will find no better atmosphere anywhere. I also used to work for the team in a small capacity by broadcasting their games on local television and the Internet...) NHL: Detroit Red Wings (was born in Detroit, still have family there...plus it's impossible to hate the Wings, unless you're from Chicago... ) MLB: New York Yankees (homer pick...but I'm a real fan, not one of those silly bandwagoners...most of my family are lifelong Yankee fans) College basketball: Syracuse Orange (another homer pick...but, hey, they're the number one team in the nation right now, so shut it. ) I don't really follow football to the point of having a favorite team...and I find the NBA boring. (And, Jon, the Miami Heat? Shame on you for giving in to King LeBrongo and ESPN. )

Oh, I don't hate you for anything... nothing at all. Regarding Brad Marchand, his final missed game was yesterday... and I saw this on ESPN Boston: "Boston Bruins forward Brad Marchand is not happy about his five-game suspension and the fact that he will forfeit $152,439.02 in salary as a result of the league's decision on the incident that occurred during last Saturday's game against the Vancouver Canucks. "I'm obviously a little disappointed, but I wasn't expecting as many games as I got," Marchand said. "That's the decision, and we have to move on." Yep. And many others were disappointed.

My top teams are:
MLB: St. Louis Cardinals (here's hoping they can repeat, or at least be competitive, in the post-Albert era) NHL: St. Louis Blues (who have quietly made their way to the top of the league) NBA: Toss-up between the Chicago Bulls and Indiana Pacers (Tyler Hansbrough grew up very close to here).
Not a big fan of the NFL (especially not of the Rams - boy do they stink!). It's okay, but not something I usually go out of my way to watch.
