Wheel of Fortune Recap: 10/27/1995

Cash & prizes are all around waiting to be won inside the Sony Pictures Studio and these three contestants are here to win it!

Mike Dickenson: A flight sergeant in the U.S. Navy.
Lori Miller: Works full time as a travel agent.
Tinku Siney: Returning champion that won $15,326 in cash & prizes on the last episode.

Now that you know who the contestants are, here comes the gameplay.



The new glittery $1,000 is the top dollar value for Round 1, the Surprise & Free Spin are on the wheel and the first puzzle is... a decade category, The 50's!



Also in the puzzle is an ampersand and Mike will be spinning first thanks to the draw. He uncovers a $400 T and then duds with N on $450. Lori calls an S for $150 and then a quadruple L for $350 each! Next is a purchase of a single E & then an M for $200 more. After putting up a triple D & a single C, four Bs on $900 accelerate her score up to $6,650! The O is bought & so are the I and U after $400 worth of Hs...

Prize #1 on the Wheel: It's a skiing trip to the mountains above Los Angeles. Why California? I don't know, but it's worth $3,900 and it's labeled SKIING on the wheel.



The prize is now on the wheel as well as Double Play and the new top dollar of $2,500. Another big puzzle is here, this one is Before & After.



The apostrophe's in there as well and Lori's going to start. She immediately finds a big multiple - four Ns for $250 a piece. Then she finds an S & two Rs, plus four Es at the cost of $250. Her next spin clings onto Lose a Turn, so we head over to Tinku. He picks up the Surprise with a Y, but that will be sitting due to a bad T on the purple $400. Mike spins twice & buys twice before hitting $900 twice for a couple Ms & Ds...

Now the template has been upgraded and the top dollar is raised to $3,500. Clue is the category, it also contains an apostrophe which Vanna will put up during Tinku's quick spin...



Tinku's early spin leads to a Bankrupt, so it's Mike's turn. He calls a couple Ts and a single I, also another consonant & vowel pair - S & E. Mike spins again to find a Lose a Turn while Lori clings onto Bankrupt with her spin. We go back to Tinku, he uncovers two Rs for $2,000. He hits the pink $300 next to dud via Y. Mike immediately purchases O and calls two more consonants plus two more vowels...



Mike figures out IT'S WORTH A POUND OF CURE for $1,900, but can he identify what the clue's referring to? Yes he can, getting $500 more for AN OUNCE OF PREVENTION.

Mike's in Red so he'll be starting the fourth round and he has a good start too... $1,500 for two Ts! He takes a twelfth out of it for an E purchase and then collects $2,700 from a triple N. Then he shops for an O & a third of a dozen As before collecting a Double Play token with B! That chip will have to sit, however, due to Mike's dud vowel buy of U. That allows Lori to call a couple doubles of L & S...



Lori climbs into the lead by solving BANANA SPLIT PERSONALITY for $2,100.

Two letters for the price of one it seems. Lori chooses an interesting combo of three consonants and a vowel - HPMO.



That fills in another third of the puzzleboard, but Lori cannot think of anything that could fit there...



The one thing that fits there is SCRAPBOOK, she couldn't solve it so she won't be taking home...
