Wheel of Fortune Recap: 11/20/1995 (Celeb Week)

Lots of money and a ton of merchandise is around the studio - but it won't be going to contestants today, they'll be won by the famed since it's Celebrity Week! Who are the celebrities? Look below to find out who's who.

This actor, who has won seven Emmy Awards and five Globen Globes (at the time, this is 1995), also known for portraying Lou Grant on the show of "Lou Grant" is Ed Asner!

Brian Austin Green: Brian is playing for the Ryan White Foundation, which after Googling, I found out it is a charity that fights HIV/AIDS.
Shelley Fabares: Shelley is playing for two charities - the Olson's Association and the Donna Reed Foundation for the Performing Arts.
Ed Asner: Ed's playing for the Defenders of Wildlife organization, what it does is self-explanatory.

Now that you've figured out what these celebrities are all about, time for some gameplay.



The new gittery $1,000 shows itself as top dollar, cash is the main goal of the game and the first puzzle is shown as a Thing.



Brian's in Red, so he'll be spinning first and a strong first spin leads him to a Free Spin that he picks up via L! That doesn't go with any cash, so another spin is taken and Brian picks up $400 with an N, but drops his turn on the purple $250 by calling a J (?!). Shelley takes four spins and calls three good letters - an S, R, and D, but ends up with a dud T on the orange $200. Ed & Brian both dud back to back with G & P - the former on the purple $200 and the latter on the orange $200. Brian hands over the Free Spin after that dud and it turns out to be a bad move since he hands in the $400 he has left to Bankrupt. We go to Shelley now and she makes a vowel purchase, the triple E. Another spin is made and the pointer clings to the blue $500 long enough for Shelley to dud with B. Ed hits two low amounts for a C plus an M...



Ed would probably ride in a CHAUFFEURED LIMOUSINE, that's the puzzle he solves and he makes $350 from it.

The upgraded template has arrived and so has the top dollar amount of $3,500 in its pink form! The $10,000 golden slice of wealthiness is also on there and our puzzle's a People puzze, ampersand featured.



Shelley will begin this second round and her first spin clings on to $3,500 for a duo of Ss! Then comes three Rs and a T after the wheel slows down just enough to avoid one of the Bankrupt slices. After that close call, she decides to buy a single E and spins again to make another close call, this time landing on the pink variant of $500. Two Hs are revealed, along with a G on the red $600. With a vowel trap set, Shelley buys a vowel... and the trap fails, she buys the U instead of I (HIGH). She makes some suspense in he next spin, stating the puzzle looks like Greek and after pausing, she calls the L. Shelley spins once more... but $10,350 is now on the line due to the dreaded Lose a Turn. Ed spins the wheel and lands on $150 for a D, followed by Double Play being hit for a duo of Ws (Ed thought his flipper was the one on Red's podium, thus thinking he hit $800). Ed's using the Double Play immediately and the result of it is not a bad one - $700 which turns into $1,400! He calls the single N...



Ed identifies the news anchors HUGH DOWNS & BARBARA WALTERS for $1,550 more.

Ed's won the last two rounds, but he'll be starting this one as well and he flirts with $5,000 twice, but can't get it on either spin. After revealing the double Rs & Ts, he goes way far back to the red $250 and finds a C...



...but the time is somehow up, so Pat'll be spinning the wheel for the last time this episode!
