Wheel of Fortune Recap: 11/29/1995

Merchandise & cash are spreading around the Sony Picture Studios as guest announcer Johnny Gilbert informs us! And one contestant of this trio can win a whole lot of it.

There's only one green wedge on the wheel and it's the top dollar of $1,000, now glittery. Cash is the main object here and a Phrase puzzle is on that puzzleboard, along with an apostrophe.



Just before the show, numbers were drawn and Kristin draw that number 1 ball, so she'll spin first. Her first spin ends up on the blue $300 and noting the apostrophe, she goes for a double M. Right after that, she hits the Surprise and a trio of Ns let her pick it up! Next, Kristin buys a triple I and then glides into the Free Spin and grabs that token with a single G, immediately turning it in due to a dud A. She then spins twice more, buying an E in the middle of things...



Kristin says I'M KEEPING MY OPTIONS OPEN and that allows her to win $1,800 plus a Surprise!

SURPRISE: A very expensive trip to England, where she'll discover picturesque sites on River Avon and the Cotswold. This surprise is valued at $9,896!

Prize #1 on the Wheel: The Moaring offer a holiday getaway - four days in St. Lucia and three days aboard a fifty-foot yacht. This prize is a value of $6,290.



The Round 1 cardboard is out, but now the prize wedge & Double Play are in, along with the new glittery top dollar of $2,500! Place is this Round's category.



Bill's in Yellow, so he'll start Round 2, but he end his turn quickly with a bad S on the orange $200. Joe takes his first spin of the night and he starts his run with a Bankrupt. Just like that, Kristin has another turn and she calls a triple N for $250 a piece and then loses her turn on the same wedge via L. She'll get her turn back quickly though, since Bill & Joe both dud with P & R on the yellow $500 and $800. Kristin then decides to buy a vowel, but A is going to cost her $250 and her turn. Bill spins twice for an M plus G and buys the obvious I as well. He continues his shopping spree and ends it to, thanks to his repeating A. That gives Joe a good oppurtunity and he makes the most of it with a pair of Ys for $2,500 each! He gambles it twice more for a $200 W and a $400 C. On last spin is made and it pays off really well - $2,500 again for the H!

The top dollar has been upgraded to $3,500 and so has the template, higher amounts and a golden slice of goodness that I call $10,000! Things is the category of this big puzzle, though ne trilon is occupied with an ampersand.



Joe will start this third round and he gets on the board with three Ss at $400 per S, along with a single T. Next comes a total of nine Es and As, along with a quadruple R for $1,600 more. Then Joe makes another purchase and I marks the end of his turn. That allows Kristin to spin three times for a pair of Ls, Ms, and Fs...



Kristin extends her lead by $2,600 with GALOSHES EARMUFFS & THERMAL UNDERWEAR.

Next comes an E purchase followed by her next spin which clings onto the St. Lucia trip! She grabs that off of the wheel and then buys an A... which turns out to be a dud. It's Bill's turn now and he gets some money with a duo of Rs, plus an S for an additional $350. Then he calls the L for $300 more...



That makes time run out, so we can only do one last spin!
