A 1960s deck of spiffy-looking round playing cards, complete with an interestingly-designed box. Either the person who designed the backs of said cards was extremely prophetic, or there's something the fandom never knew about until these surfaced... Or, and this is what I'm going with, the seller's an idiot. (Just thought I'd share this; thought others might get a laugh or facepalm out of it.) Fixed maligned URL tag. Remember, URLs in BBC code do not need quotation marks, unlike HTML.

Interesting how the show tried to make us forget there was anything before the 1980's, then a couple people go and claim the show dates to the 1960's... LOL!

This seller is trying to prey upon the idiots out there. Sure, the box is spiffy, but it's bunk. Wouldn't buy them from there.

(Thanks for fixing the link, CU. ) Interesting how the show tried to make us forget there was anything before the 1980's, then a couple people go and claim the show dates to the 1960's... LOL! The seller says " predating the popular game show", hence my response. Gemaco has been around since 1965, and they sell round playing cards. The eBay seller's been around since June 1997 and has very good Customer Satisfaction ratings, so...

I've seen those cards before. They were available for Wheel Watchers Club members (after redeeming points) a few years ago. I was looking at stuff on eBay yesterday and I saw that someone is auctioning off a homemade Wheel... Overall, it looks like a middle school student made it, but it does have 750 if that counts for anything. But the misinformation of the cards doesn't the worst auction ever... THIS is the aftermath of the worst eBay auction ever...

StrangerCoug: the seller says " predating the popular game show", hence my response. I made the post before I read the description, but still...

Talk about a poorly written description-what was the seller thinking when writing it? Reminds me of another seller (Kathy)'s response to Daniel's question he posted in the thread about the photo from a early episode which only described the television that was showing the puzzle on its screen!
If there was a "Wheel of Fortune" card deck that actually dated back to the 1960s itself, it would probably be based on the 1950s Peter Arnell series.

And I even quoted my question, which I specifically worded to avoid ambiguity! If there was a "Wheel of Fortune" card deck that actually dated back to the 1960s itself, it would probably be based on the 1950s Peter Arnell series. I would've said the 1959-64 Reg Grundy TV series, myself. I stand corrected...especially since I've already seen that clip.

The company who made these cards most likely was founded back in the 60s. As for the cards themselves, I have a deck of the same Wheel of Fortune brand, only a more recent design that has the Million Dollar wedge.
