Here's a full episode from July 31, 2014. Temmuz means July in Turkish. It's about 75 minutes long.
My big question is how the Kartifelek works. How do they determine how much money is played for? Because the first one was for 10,500 liras, the second was for 3000, and the third was for 3400.
The bank seems to offer players a choice of prizes if they're interested in them, similar to the shopping era.
What I do know is this. The scoring system is similar to the British version. I assume the Wheel offers points. Vowels cost 500. The second round is similar to the Speed-Up only you keep guessing letters as long as they're in the puzzle. The winner of the Toss-Up (played more slowly apparently to add suspense) at the end of the game has their score multiplied by 5. This is most likely the thing that determines the winner of the game. The bonus round is played in a similar fashion to the way the American version worked from 1989 to 2001 only there are four envelopes instead of five. Furthermore, no letters are revealed until after the four additional letters are chosen.
If there's anyone here who speaks fluent Turkish, could you please help explain all the rules of this version? I'd be very interested to know how all this works.

So the video's uploader got the boot. No worries. Here's one from July 18. Sorry about the quality. It's not as good as the first one was.

I wonder what sources state that the Turkish version premiered on June 1, 1992. Yes, I checked, and it was a Monday, but I just came across two videos whose uploader would claim to contradict its premiere date. The uploader of these two videos (which abruptly switch back and forth between the show and some other Turkish TV trinkets) claims all this stuff to be from 1991. The first video contains shots of the Wheel with some cheap values (don't worry, they're not two-digit values with a weird shape) while the second includes something familiar from our version. You'll have to watch the videos for yourselves to see what it is.
At long last, however, my 5 1/2 year-long quest to know their entire intro layout (similar to our 1989-1992 intro only with bigger numeric values and slightly different colors) has finally come to an end. I will make that soon.

Found a site that has a Turkish Wheel photo from about 1994 or 1995. Note the glass tower between the host and the contestant in the red podium that somwhat resembles the ones we used from 1992 to 1996.

It looks like Turkish Wheel may be coming back with Erbil. If so, I'm hoping for a turn for the better.

Turkish Wheel is pretty much as good as gone at this point, but someone just uploaded a video explaining how the late 2014 era of this country's version worked, complete with translations. Because of this, I know the real purpose of the Kartifelek. Enjoy! Tell me what you think about all this now that we have a better understanding.

Here's an episode from 1992. Values are displayed in thousands of liras. Vowels cost 200,000 liras. A commercial occurs during the third round although the host doesn't announce it. Scores are handled in a way similar to the British version, meaning everyone keeps their scores regardless of whether or not they were the one who solved the puzzle, although the one who solved uses their winnings to shop for prizes. Other than that, it's a very generic episode. What I like here is that it's all about the game. No musical performances, no chatting with the host outside contestant interviews, and the players appear to be regular Turkish citizens.

Another old episode was uploaded a couple weeks ago. No year is mentioned, but this appears to be from about 1994 or so, judging by the Wheel values (which are displayed in thousands of liras) and puzzle board, which by the way looks pretty familiar now, doesn't it? But yeah, I just asked the uploader what date this was from. As for vowels, they cost one million liras. I plan to make the Wheel layout soon, but in the meantime, enjoy while it's still up.

Here's an episode from 1993. The Wheel layout is the same as in the Twitter photo I showed three years ago. Yeah, it's been chopped up into six parts, but it's a full episode. Vowels cost 200,000 liras.

Another episode from around 1993 was recently put up. There are some changes from the episode that I showed in the previous post including some larger Wheel values.

Here's an episode from late 1994 if not early 1995. According to a comment I read, this was known as Süper Çarkıfelek as this had more than just the game. Even in the era before Mehmet Ali Erbil became host, there were some musical performances. This concept no doubt appeared to carry over.

That's not all I have to show you. Here's an episode from - 1987? I thought the Turkish version began in 1992. Now, I'm curious what this gem is all about. From what I'm getting in the comments, Güner Ümit hosted this version starting in 1986.

Okay. So let's do a little recap of which versions are returning in 2024. We have the UK version which premiered just hours before I typed this up, the Australian version is due to follow using the British set, the Italian version also making plans to return, and guess what? Wheel's also coming back in Turkey!

All right. Here is the first episode. By the way, Wheel values here range from 10 to 10. Don't believe me? See for yourself as you enjoy the premiere of the 2024 revival of Çarkifelek! More episodes can be viewed on the show's YouTube channel.
