This might be legit. If you read the poll, it makes more sense. Is it possible for us to get a picture, or an idea of your airdate to confirm, or something similar? Because the fact is, this WAS the original name of the cermaic dalmatian in Wheel's shopping era.
Being kept open... for now.

Isn't Sheldon at the Wheel of Fortune Hall of Fame?

There was more than one Sheldon, but much like some other prizes (possibly including a ceramic tiger), they don't have a manufacturer mentioned. So much for Lin Bolen's Gucci-Gucci-Gucci. Not sure if the Dalmatian has a manufacturer mentioned anywhere on it, though. Perhaps the better question to ask is -- jdel, if you're reading this, could you tell us how you ended up procuring your ceramic Dalmatian?

I am going to try to do some research and see if I can get a manufacturer's name for everyone. I may end up calling Wheel and seeing if they can track it down for us. If I don't get a chance, you can call them at 310-244-1234.

Did you really win it on the show? Either way, I'd keep it. It's a TV icon.

In the mid 80's, TWOF changed winning format from "buy from the prize vault, with you cash winnings" to "cash and prizes". Which ment, you no longer had to buy the furniture and prizes on display, in the vault. My uncle dated someone on the set of the show. His mother/ my grandmother, asked if she could have the dalmatian from the prize vault. My uncle inquired about Sheldon and two weeks later she got o huge suprize in the mail. My grand mother was a huge, HUGE fan of The Wheel. Now that she has passed, I have a dog named Sheldon.

Okay, I'm now officially confused.
You have a real dog named Sheldon...not the ceramic one?
MOVED to Mr. Irrelevant, since it has nothing to do with the real show.

He DOES have the ceramic one. He got it from someone who worked for the show. If I understand correctly, he also now has a real dog named Sheldon in honor of his Wheel-fan grandmother.

Just to be clear. I have the ceramic dalmasion from the set of the Wheel Of Fortune show. My question was; What should I do with it? Any suggestions? Sell? or Keep? Should I insure it and for how much? Would any one like to purchase Sheldon? What is a fare offer? I am open to all suggestions. Thank you all, jdel
I also have search online for months and can not find any company or individual who has one for sale. I doubt very seriously but can only assume it is one of a kind at this point or at least extreamly, extreamly rare!

Hi There, I want to buy your Sheldon. My friend had one he truly loved it and it was his mascot. He took the dog everywhere and dressed him up in funny costumes. That statue dog lived the life of a true dog. Children loved him. Other dogs were confused. The dog was stolen from him at a River regatta where the dog was on a race float. Where not sure who stole him and we were never able to get him back and return him to our friend Adam. The dog also lived in a fire house with firemen which was very fitting. We would love to buy your Sheldon for our friend Adam. Please contact me so we can make him smile again.

Hi angel33- Two things- One, the OP hasn't been on these forums in nearly five years. I doubt he'll even see this. Two, please don't bump ridiculously old threads, especially when nothing productive will come from it. Thanks! LOCKED
