I was browsing around eBay some hours ago when I found a listing for 20 color slides of Wheel from 1977 -- a year I thought was lost for good. The description and pictures ( 12 of the 20 on offer) are of Brides Week, including several of the one grooms-to-be show and several with Summer Bartholomew in wedding gowns. It's got less than two days left, no bids, and starts at $9.99 + $2.80 shipping. I'd love to see it go to one of our own -- 1977 Wheel stuff doesn't pop up...well, ever. [EDIT 5/30/12: Not only did I forget to bid, I wasn't even awake when the auction ended. Turns out, nobody bid on it, so it might show up again.]

Why don't you bid on them? I mean, I will, but I think they'd be better off in your hands.

I thank you for the vote of confidence, but I'm withholding for two reasons:
1) They're slides. Would I love to have them? Sure, but I don't have any way to give them the sort of respect the seller clearly has. I know some people here have the technology and know-how, but I'm not one of them.
(I think I have a 1970s-ish non-English-packaging projector-ish "EPISCOPIO" thing {one of many things I've picked up at second-hand shops over the years because they looked interesting}, but I've never really given it a good look and it seems to be a handheld.)
2) I'm not exactly big on funds right now; I have an eBay gift card from last Christmas (it's how I got the '75 Second Edition game), but my brother told me to just save the seller's posted pictures to my computer (which I did) and not bother bidding on it. Given the above "proper respect" thing, I had to agree.

Oh... they're slides. I guess I missed that. Good thing I didn't bid yet.
Saving them was a good idea. The only other piece of info that I think we could get out of the remaining photos is whether or not the round 1 values had increased yet. I can just barely make out that the $175 in rounds 2 and 3 has not yet increased to $200.
Can you think of anything else?

My suggestion? Use the Print Screen button to capture the images to your screen. Then go to Windows Paint, and paste the screen capture onto Windows Paint, and save the image.
Do it while you can - the images won't be up forever.

^Already done. And for the record, it's Ctrl-Print Screen (for Windows; Command-Shift-4 for Macintosh users). The only other piece of info that I think we could get out of the remaining photos is whether or not the round 1 values had increased yet. I can just barely make out that the $175 in rounds 2 and 3 has not yet increased to $200. Can you think of anything else? Any other changes? Well, the curtain isn't the light-decorated version used through at least 6/7/76, but the contestant area still looks as it did that day. Also, thanks about the $175 thing; really hard to see the Wheel layout... (About 28 hours left, by the way...and still no bids. I'd have expected at least one bid from this group.)

Eh, I'm not that interested since they're just bigger versions of the photos already uploaded on the page. It's not like it's the actual episode (unfortunately).

^...Wait, bigger? I thought they were the tiny put-them-in-a-projector-and-shine-them-on-a-wall slides...but they're the big put-'em-on-top-of-a-projector-or-just-shine-a-light-behind slides?
(Also, there's 20 slides total -- all but eight were uploaded by the seller.)
I know what I said, but if nobody bids on it, I'll bite the bullet. I've got considerably more than $12.79 on my eBay gift card, and it's been sitting there since Christmas. Certainly better than seeing these things go back into the ether...

Actually, I think they are the former type, but I'll just download the 12 uploaded images. The only Wheel things I bid on nowadays are memorabilia straight from the show like an old Bonus Round envelope that showed up about two months ago (which i won ;D). I'd just save the credit for something like that. You never know what might pop up. I remember seeing an old Free Spin (the brown version), and even what was labeled as "the puzzle board that Vanna White practiced on" (a 3x3 trilon board, kind of like those giant tic-tac-toe games you might see on a playground).

I looked through them and they look interesting - out first big look at Wheel in 1977. As for that orange space, it is indeed $175.
This set reminds me of two things. One, next week (week of the 4th) is Newlyweds Week. I believe it's going to be a couple's week. I don't know why they didn't have it in February.
Two, this 1977 set reminds me of that college student whose mother was on the show in 1977 and won a trip where she met who would be the father of that college student. It's one of the few times on the nighttime show that the Woolery era was mentioned, maybe the only time. I don't know.

^The Woolery era has been mentioned on several occasions, sometimes indirectly; I compiled a list on the Wiki.
