Somebody with the software to make fonts should make one with the letters on the old Wheel of Fortune board and the numbers on the wheel. I'd do it, but I barely know the first thing about making a font.
Edit: I realize now that that would be putting two different letter styles on one font (slab serif vs. something between that and a transitional serif), but that can be remedied.

I've decided to add glowing lights on the puzzle board. Here's one with a puzzle. And here it is glowing in the dark.

Excellent work, wheelgenius! ;D I love that dark shot of the puzzleboard. It kind of reminds me of that clip in the episode with the new board's debut as Vanna says goodbye to it. I hope the show licenses that 30th Anniversary logo from you. I love the gradient and bevel effects. I see you are updating the classic wheels. They look much better now. However, one of them has the Surprise wedge over the blue $500 instead of the orange $200. Deo, please do post that picture. I'd love to see it.

Can I post a picture of my home-made wheel here? Most certainly. I'd love to see it. Now, here's my attempt at a 25th anniversary graphic. Consecutive posts merged.

I don't know for sure (I hope it's not yet another custom font. We're they too cheap to license more well-known ones? ), but a pretty close match is Futura XBlk BT. I found that the podium background score keeper has changed. You mean the wheel texture? That's always been there ever sicne they stopped using the eggcrate display, even with the pre-Season 25 smaller monitors. Removed unnecessary quote.

I thought the backgrounds for the smaller score monitors were a solid color. You're probably right. I tried to find episodes from that era in good quality and I only see solid colors, but I could have sworn they did have the wheel texture. Anybody who has a particaular episode recorded on tape want to clarify?

If you mean the first plasma screens (as in, the same styling of the eggcrate displays), I can safely say that they did NOT have the texturing. The backgrounds were solid red, yellow, and blue.

I agree with nowhammies11. The LCD screens did start out with solid colors.
Also, realdeo, please let me know when your camera works again so I can see your homemade wheel.

You're all right. It's just that I could have sworn I saw the texture in the yellow podium when i saw an episode rerun on GSN not too long ago. Guess not. Sorry for the misinformation. Going back to Deo's case, the wheel textures debuted in Season 25 when the scoreboards became flat screens without a housing to them.

Do you ever remember seeing pictures of either Pat Sajak, or Vanna White posing in front of this?
