A wise choice for NBC to boost their daytime ratings would be to replace the extra two hours of Today with four half-hour game shows and move them up one hour from 10am to 12pm.
If Wheel was one of them, what suggestions do you have for it?
Deep down, I think most of us want the return of shopping, but that's probably not going to happen while Harry is producer and Pat is host (because it's no secret that he hates shopping).
So here are my suggestions:
*Play for cash.
*Top Dollar values are $750-$1000-$1250-$2000.
*No Toss-Ups, Million Dollar Wedge, Wild Card, Gift Tag, 1/2 Car, Mystery, Free Play, and Jackpot.
*Minimums for rounds are $500 and Vowels cost $250.
*The Free Spin disc would return and would be picked up the same way as it was during it's first year.
*The Final Spin will not add $1000.
*The Bonus Round would have cash and four bonus prizes on the bonus wheel.
It would look something like this (the prizes are just examples):
(2) $10,000
(2) $15,000
(2) $20,000
(2) $25,000
(2) $30,000
(2) $35,000
(2) $40,000
(1) $45,000
(1) $50,000
(2) Chevrolet Aveo
(2) Trip to Paris
(2) Grand Piano
(2) Outdoor Package
Champions would have a 5 day limit and would only be allowed to win a prize once. So if a champ wins a prize and then returns to the bonus round, the prize would be replaced with a $10,000 and $15,000; the next prize would be replaced with a $20,000 and a $25,000, and so forth. But only if the champ returns to the bonus round.
Here are the wheels I had in mind, and a thank you to Guint for making them for me:
Round 1:
Round 2:
Round 3:
The purple $600 is actually supposed to be $500 and the nearby $250 is really supposed to be blue. That was a mistake on my part.
Round 4+:
If there was a Jackpot, I'd suggest making it just like the Daytime Jackpot from 1986.
So what are your suggestions?
Changed the thread title to make it clear that the "new daytime version" being referred to is not something that's actually happening, but rather, a figment of Mr. Higgins' imagination.
