Well, finally the bubble has burst and we know pretty much all the changes now, with probably any remaining questions cleared up by having the gameplay vary and play itself all out in the next couple weeks. Back to the grind. This thread can stop exploding and be only for complaining about the next themed weeks every fortnight now.

I just found out - Kim will be writing the contestant blog from my week! I'm so happy that she was chosen. So cool! Her episode airs on Monday. Now I'm thinking that they only choose contestants from each Monday's episode to write the blogs - maybe someone can verify?

That appears to be the case so far...we'll have to see. Here's another behind-the-scenes from WTSP: www.wtsp.com/video/1846433589001/1/Ginger-brings-you-some-little-known-facts-about-wheel-of-fortuneThis reveals a change for Secret Santa...they're still using the red Sears wedge. Though it was in the normal Prize location last year, this year it will be covering $650. That means FIVE non-regular cash wedges in a row for R2 if it isn't picked up before then...unless they put the Mystery Wedge over the now-vacant purple $500... Caseheart/Shrinkbander, do either of you remember whether the Sears wedge awarded $650 or $500 per letter and if the Mystery Wedge was still between Free Play and Lose a Turn? Thanks.

The blogs can be any day of the week.
Also, why the hell do they care about color coordination now for these two weeks and not last year for two+ weeks?

What do you mean about color coordination?

He means the colors of the wedges. They seem to be pretty iffy on having red prize wedges next to red cash wedges. In Season 28, the red Sears wedge was moved. In Season 29, it was in its normal position even though it was still next to the red $800. This time, they suddenly decide to move it again...
Why don't they just make an add-on orange $800 to replace the red one with until R3, like the blue $900 during the 1/2 Car Wedge period?

I wonder if they analyze these colors and movements as much as you guys do...

I need a little help if anybody knows the answer. My son if on the Friday show this week the 21st. I have a very close friend who is out of the country that day. They do not want to miss it. Is there a website they can go to to watch the show either in real time or shortly after it airs. Any help would be appreciated.

I loved it when Friedman said he and the staff respect both shows and their viewers, because that is so not true regarding Wheel. (Note that he said nothing about respect for contestants.) Talk about false advertising -- "the first letter ever revealed on the show" ends up being clarified as the first one Vanna turned. Way to completely ignore the previous nine years, guys. (Heck, the first-ever puzzle -- HENRY KISSINGER -- didn't even have a T!) I was also expecting things like "Did you know Pat and Vanna weren't the only people to host the show?", which would be a little-known fact for most. Oh, and look at the great Season 29 opening with raining confetti.

Oh, I should also add that those "Best in TV" awards were on last night. Jeopardy won. Even Price got more votes than Wheel.

(Heck, the first-ever puzzle -- HENRY KISSINGER -- didn't even have a T!) Chuck & Susan era is one thing, but does an unaired pilot really count?

They did say first EVER puzzle, so yes, the pilot would count. It would have been cool for them to have at least made a small timeline showing the progression of the series. IMO opinion, they should have said "the first ever letter Vanna revealed", or something along those lines.
