Congrats again. Good luck! I finally got my tape date - I am taping this Thursday. What city did you audition in? Raleigh, NC. It was an intense and fun experience. Looking forward to the show- whenever that will be! There are tapings on September 6 & 7, according to the WOF ticket request page. |

-Yellow $500 to $900: +$400
-Nearby blue $500 to $300: -$300
-Red $900 to $600: -$300
-Adjacent blue $500 to $350: -$150
Overall: -$350.
Keep in mind that there's a lot more amounts that have not been accounted for.
Projected:
-Green $600 to $500 (to accommodate new Wild Card rules): -$100.
-Red $300 to $500 (no way that space is still $300): +$200.
-Pink $300 to $500 (to accommodate new Gift Tag rules): +$200.
-Green $300 to $500 (to accommodate 1/2 Car): +$200.
So if everything here is correct, we're currently dealing with a $150 GAIN.

Looks like from what we know or can predict so far, it's 4 downgrades and 4 upgrades.
Downgrades:
- Green $600 to $500
- Blue $500 to $300
- Red $900 to $600
- Blue $500 to $350
Upgrades:
- Yellow $500 to $900
- Red $300 to $500
- Pink $300 to $500
- Green $300 to $500

We don't know if the second digit changed to 5. I doubt it. My theory is that they only made changes to one of the layout halves since it would save money. (The layout halves today are, clockwise, Bankrupt to top dollar and green $600/now $500 to pink $900)

I don't think that's how they do it anymore. I think the split now goes from (using S29 values): Blue $500 (between $300 and $800) to purple $600, and blue $300 to yellow $500. Otherwise, there would be two itty-bitty templates.

One thing I just realized: That potential x50 value at purple $600 has been bugging me, but one plausible theory is that it turned into $450, thus balancing the Wheel values.

I realize they're not perfect halves, but I think there's only 11 spaces per "half", which are separated by plugs for the Jackpot and Free Play.

Well, there was one episode back in Season 28 where a contestant lifted up a half when picking up the Wild Card, and the top dollar value wedge was lifted, but not the green $600, so the "plugs", or whatever they are, don't matter. I'm almost sure the Big Money Wedge used battery power to operate, because at the tapings I went to, I saw no cord and vaguely remember seeing a staffer "switch" it on. The Jackpot replacement red $300 was an add-on even before the current design was used, for some reason...
(Could've sworn there used to be a video of the WC thing, but now I can't find it)
