Here is the final trailer someone from THQ E-mailed me:
She says she's happy to answer any questions about the games. Post them here and I will E-mail her tomorrow with all your questions.

Here's a question from me that you can ask this representative, Mario. Do the Wii and DS editions of Wheel have a speed up round like the real show does?

As for me, they should, and hopefully they'll have that $5000 spot like the iPod Touch version didn't. Another good question is that since they have that prize wedge as well as $1000 gift tags on the wheel, are they going to have prize puzzles? Not even the PS3 version had them, although it at least had that $5000 space.

This game looks nice. Too bad I don't have a Wii or a DS, maybe they can release these to the PS3, too, maybe.

I can understand that, but I just found out some fantastic news. If you have an iPhone or iPod Touch, Sony just released a new Wheel of Fortune game for them. I am not joking!
It's called Wheel of Fortune Platinum. It's $4.99 (plus tax I'm now sorry to say; don't know why Apple had to do that), but it has a lot of updated features including a pass-and-play multiplayer feature so you can play with your friends and family. The graphics along with musics and sound effects have been updated very realistically. As I read from reviews, there is still no fourth round, $5000 space, or $3000 toss-up, but... it beat the Wii and DS versions as being the first Wheel of Fortune game to feature - That's right! - the Free Play wedge!
If you don't believe me, check out the iTunes Store. Despite some mechanical difficulties, especially with the wheel, it's currently up for download. It was released back on Wednesday.

Well, it took a while because of E3, but I finally got the answers to our questions. Here they are:
Q: Will the game have online play? If yes, can additional puzzles be downloaded? A: No
Q: Since the Wii version can use WiiSpeak, can the DS version use the DS microphone? A: No, but there is the unique handwriting recognition feature.
Q: Will there be any sort of "speech confirmation" for the game to avoid mix-ups? (Example: "Did you say 'T'? Yes/No") A: Yes, if it feels that.
Q: What are the "commercial break minigames" like for the game? A: TBD
Q: What other modes are there besides the traditional "TV mode"? A: TBD
Q: What are the controls like for the DS version? A: Virtual keyboard to select letters.
Q: What kind of prizes are offered in WOF (concerning the gold "PRIZE" wedge and Prize Puzzles)? Can one win a car in the Bonus Round? A: Yes, there are various prizes that you can win, including cars.
Q: Is spinning strength determined by how hard the Wii Remote is swung or does the Wii Remote simply stop the strength bar (like in the NES version)? A: Spinning strength is determined on how hard the Wii Remote is flicked.
Q: How will the "rounds" for WOF work? Will there be a "Final Spin" triggered after a certain amount of elapsed time? Will there be a minimum of 4 regular rounds (with the $3,000 Toss-Up and the $5,000 space)? (I ask this because many recent WOF games only do 3 regular rounds and the Bonus Round) A: TBD
Q: Will the game feature voice work from Charlie O'Donnell (WOF)? A: Yes
Q: Are there any "sequels" planned like "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader"? A: TBD
Looks like THQ is still hard at work on these games. Hopefully we'll have answers to the "TBD" questions soon.

BTW germanname, you were wondering earlier whether the Wii and DS versions of Wheel would have Prize Puzzles. Well, I saw some screenshots of the game on another site, and one of the screenshots had the Prize Puzzle graphic along one of the category strips. Therefore, it appears that this game will indeed have Prize Puzzles.

Now that sure is something I will have to try saving up for. As I do have a Nintendo DS, Might give the DS version a go for when it's released. ;D
Thank you for sharing this info.

I'm glad you see you're doing it too, but if you do, I just want to make sure you know the rules for the American version, because the rules are quite different from those of the Aussie version, one example being the way scores are kept, and another being the Free Play wedge. As long as you know about all that, that's great. I just want to make sure with you.

For those who have the new iPhone/iTouch app, they lowered the price (once was $.99, now it's $1.99), plus they've updated it. They fixed some bugs, plus there are a few noticeable changes: the mistakes in the top dollar values have been fixed as well as the "invisible mystery wedge" glitch, plus Toss-Up games now have only one puzzle instead of up to six. Also, now that the app is much more popular (it was #2 in Top Downloads at one point), I played my first online matches today. Online mode is pretty glitchy. While solving, there is a lot of lag between typing the letters and seeing them appear on the board, so be careful. I've seen people lose the Toss-Ups because of this. Another thing to be careful of is that if even one player disconnects or leaves the game at any time (except the Bonus Round), the game is over. Other than that, online play is a blast. It's a shame that the Wii and DS games won't have it. I told the THQ representative that online play offers lots of replayability and hopefully we'll see it next time. Another interesting fact: according to the leaderboards, to date, 50 people have won the million.
By the way, there's yet ANOTHER WOF game that was released today. It's for the iPad and it's called "Wheel of Fortune HD." It's pretty much the same as the new iPhone game but with a few significant differences: the avatars are now in 3D, player totals are displayed above the board like on the show, plus the game shows the set in a scheme similar to the recent PC games with the players and the wheel in the bottom-right corner (the podiums/scoreboards/flat wheel sprites are the same as the iPhone game). The wheel is exactly the same as before (just a picture, no 3D modeling), but the puzzleboard is much more life-like. I don't know if anyone here has an iPad, but it looks great.

I was going to tell everyone here about the iPad version after I saw it in the iTunes store, mariogs, although I don't have an iPad myself. I'd certainly love to have it, however, now that there's a nice WOF game exclusively for it.
I've seen screenshots on iTunes, but maybe if you can please show us some shots of it sometime, that'd be pleasing for all of us. Maybe show us the $2500, $3500, Jackpot, not to mention the Million Dollar Wedge (Free Play's already at the store).
And if there is really a $5000 space and/or a $3000 toss-up, please for goodness sakes, show us those!!

I'm sorry. Here are some screenshots from the upcoming DS game. I have no idea why it shows the Round 4 wheel after the second Toss-Up. And here's an interesting screenshot from the Wii version. I love Vanna's dress. ;D

Ah, don't worry about it. At least we finally get to see shots of the DS version, so I thank you for that. As for the puzzle answer, that living thing is apparently a misspell of "LABRADOR RETRIEVER." So why are there only three R's instead of five as we go to solve this? Please tell THQ to fix that. Otherwise this puzzle will be a nightmare once we go to play it. And, it's just exactly what I thought. We use our styluses to spin the wheel! As for the wheel shots, it strangely reminds me of BigJon's version of Wheel for some reason. It's also a lot better than these cheap "conceptual screenshots" I made on Excel back in early 2007. pictures.fanart-central.net/g/germanname/546167.jpgpictures.fanart-central.net/g/germanname/546168.jpgConverted images to links, please keep all images under 800 px wide. Kind of late, but better than never.

Otherwise this puzzle will be a nightmare once we go to play it. It's a Toss-Up puzzle. That's why there are only 3 Rs revealed. And I remember those pictures of yours from Fanart Central (What's the puzzle? I thought it was WINNING AN EMMY AWARD until I saw the used letter board). The wheel shots remind me of BigJon's game, too. Probably because of the "squashed oval/not-so-perfectly-circular" shape of the wheel, or the giant green circle at the bottom. I think it's a bit odd that there is a pause button on the touch screen, when most DS games are paused by pressing the Start button. I really hope this game isn't entirely touch screen like Ludia's DS games. I want to buzz-in on the Toss-Ups (and in Jeopardy!) by pressing A, not by tapping a button on the touch screen like in "Press Your Luck."
