I remember some elements of the first retro episode of Wheel that I saw on GSN back in 2003 (which was a big deal for me at the time because we didn't have YouTube and things like that), and I was hoping that someone can help me pinpoint the episode and maybe have a tape of it.
I know that Charlie had returned by this episode and the backing of the Puzzleboard was still grey, so it was sometime between March and May of 1989.
-The man that won the main game was at the blue podium (I think), he was probably in his fifties and had grey hair.
-Vanna wore a sparkly black dress and had her hair up in two buns.
-The man played for the cash in the bonus round (yeah, that narrows it down...
)
-The bonus puzzle was PEEKABOO (he didn't solve it).
-I think Pat and Vanna discussed playing peekaboo as children during the post-game chat.
That's all I remember. This episode was not in the Video Archive of the Wiki last I checked, nor was the bonus puzzle listed in the Compendium.
