I recently attended an audition in Culver City with my sister for military families week (although they said they were looking for contestants for other weeks as well). We ended up doing really well, made the first cut and did well on the "more intensive series of games." We are pretty confident that we will be picked for the show that they say they are taping sometime in October. The only problem is that I don't have many dates I can take off of work in October. If the tape date fell on a day I couldn't make would they let us reschedule and tape for a different episode later on? The website says that contestants have "18 months to appear on the show" but since we tried out for a 2-person episode I'm worried this may not be the case for us.

^ You could just try calling them and explaining the situation. I know I've seen instances where a husband and wife or brother and sister competed on separate episodes only a couple months apart, so I'd imagine they could just split the two of you between two episodes should you be unable to make the military families week.

You can tell them you're unavailable, but unfortunately you can't pick what day you will be on. They will put you back in the queue until another slot opens up. Unfortunately since you were chosen for a family week it may be a lot longer before you get called since they don't do as many family weeks as they do "single players", if you know what I mean.

And yes, maybe they can split you? Not sure about that.
Also keep in mind that in Culver City they always tape on either a Thursday or Friday. Check your schedule now to see if it's easier for you to take one of those days off.

Good to know it should probably work out! I still need to actually get selected though, lol.
The taping for Military Families is in October, I'm assuming it will air the week of Veterans Day.

Actually, America's Game is 11/5-9. Veterans' Day is 11/12 this year (Monday), so he could be on to something.
