I just recently found that the Wheelmobile is headed to Washington D.C. next week after it finishes its run in Milwaukee.
Where The University of District of Columbia 4200 Connecticut Avenue NW Washington, DC 20008 (202) 274-5000
When November 2 - 3 (Thu-Fri) 5:30 - 9:30 PM
I would really love to go to this event, as it is on my side of the United States, but I'll have to wait until it gets closer to my area. Come on, Wheelmobile, it's about time you came back to Georgia (or somewhere close to Georgia).
Maybe, this is a sign that the Wheelmobile is making rounds around the South?

Wheelmobile is DEFINITELY a fun little experience, however with the amount of people that actually go to it, the chances of actually making it up on stage and getting a shot to impress those who are there to find amazing talent is VERY VERY Slim (the one I went to they actually used a massive drum to pick out random names to come up on stage). That being said, I absolutely LOVED getting my photo taken next to it since it came by close to where I used to live, but NOTHING beats being able to actually audition in person out here in SoCal and then make it on the show itself such a whirlwind and surreal moment!!

Oh and SUCH a fun little experience I had with that Wheelmobile. I luckily was drawn, made it up to the stage and had a phenomenal interview with Marty ;--) Loved every bit of my experience and it definitely WAS surreal being on the show. What a time!!! Nothing like it. I would FOR SURE say that you need to be one lucky person at the Wheelmobile, and lo and behold.... I WAS

We attended the Oak Creek event, what a wild and awesome time. Neither of us got up on stage in the first show, but my wife was pulled in the first group of show 2, and 8 names later I was drawn for the third group, we were besides ourselves. Marty does an outstanding job, what a fantastic time.

Went to the one in El Paso today and got called on stage Won a hat, keychain, a pin, and $25 worth of free play (yeah, I'm surprised—Texas has strict gambling laws), which I ended up turning into $9.45. They made a reference to what I said I like to do in my free time—I have a playing card collection and said I was waiting on a Wheel of Fortune deck of cards from eBay—when the last group for the show I stayed for won, along with the shirt... a Wheel of Fortune deck of cards (of a different design than what I'm expecting to get, to be fair to them). They said "That card player must be mad." I was still in the audience, so I shouted out "I forgive you." I'm not sure if they heard, though.

Hi, I have lurked on this site for awhile but have not posted. I am planning to attend the Wheelmobile event in Saratoga. I haven't been to a Wheelmobile event in awhile. How early should I get there to be at the first show at noon. They say "there is no need to arrive hours early" but I want to make sure I get in the first show. Any thoughts?

Hi, I have lurked on this site for awhile but have not posted. I am planning to attend the Wheelmobile event in Saratoga. I haven't been to a Wheelmobile event in awhile. How early should I get there to be at the first show at noon. They say "there is no need to arrive hours early" but I want to make sure I get in the first show. Any thoughts? Hello there, mike! Welcome to the BuyAVowel forum! I recently went to the Wheelmobile event in Raleigh/Durham in North Carolina, last month, and was luckily selected to go up on stage in Durham. When I went to the Wheelmobile event in Raleigh, which was held at a local mall, I went to the mall at 8:30 am, and was the first person in line. The event did not start until 1:00 pm. I'm not quite sure how long it took for the line to get really long, but I would say a line started forming around 11:00 am-11:30 am, around the time applications were being handed out. When I went to the Wheelmobile event in Durham, which was also held at a local mall, I got in line around 10:30 am, and was the sixth/seventh person in line. Like the Raleigh event, the event did not start until 1:00 pm, and a line didn't form until about 11:00 am. If the first show is at noon, then that means applications for the first show will not be handed out until about 11:00 am. If I were you, I would try to get in line around 8:00 am-9:00 am so you can try to be one of the first people in line, which would almost guarantee you get an application. There were not any issues with me standing in line around 8:30 am in Raleigh, though it was a long wait. We also have a thread dedicated to attending Wheelmobile events, with tips, stories, etc. about the Wheelmobile. You can find it in the "Buying Your Time" section of the forum under the title, "So you're going to a Wheelmobile event?". Best of luck to you this weekend! I hope you get picked! - acwof

Thanks for the advice. I was thinking of getting there at 8 am so you helped convince me that it would not be crazy to go that early. If there is no line, I can always pass the time by reading, playing Wheel on my phone or gambling until I lose my money.
