Edd Byrnes Pilot #1

Edd Byrnes was real "Kooky" in this pilot. But, still, it's fun to watch. How on earth else could I possibly repay our old buddy Mr. Downs for posting this relic?

Okay, I swear I've seen that exact expression (not of Edd) being used as a meme for most of the last decade.

SPOILERS

First off, thanks to the DVD menu and the timecode for clarifying that this is in fact Pilot #2 of three. Regarding the show itself...
* The opening sounds a bit different to Pilot #3, and Edd somehow managed to screw up the Round 1 total worse than he did later that day.

* I'm pretty sure the staff screwed up in Round 1: Gary clearly said F, and Edd repeated it, only to hand him $650 for two S's.

* Okay, why did the camera pan the prizes after Round 1 rather than show the trip slide? That just looked sloppy.

* 5:28-35, 5:55-57 or so, and 7:42-53 or :54 are the portions shown on "#S-3000" in 1998.

* The answer to what was on Roseanne's arrow: her nametag; it fell off as she made the first spin of Round 2.

* Edd, to Marge during Round 4: "I think you've fixed the Wheel!" That's freaking hilarious.

* Pretty sure they added that extra $50 to Marge's total so they wouldn't have to address post-Round 4 leftovers...

* Okay, if Marge is supposed to be the returning champ, why didn't she have a cumulative total at the end?

* What is that theme used during the first part of the final segment, anyway?
