This was a bizarre game. Epic fail in R2, too-conservative gameplay from the blue player, yet it ends up with a near-sweep and a completely filled-in BR.

Aw, man- I wish I hadn't been pre-empted in my area because Jeremy aced the bonus puzzle! That's the first time that's happened since a Vegas show in Feb. '10!

Man, what a stinker. And yes, R1-2 were terrible enough (two nearly 20k rounds nearly given on a silver platter to just $400 above the minimum) that I couldn't really care about the BR much.
I'm sure Jeremy thinks he played Wheel perfectly with his ultra conservativeness, but R1 is just a textbook reason why it was NOT the right move. He needed R2 to gain control back after that.

Well, this was a roller coaster ride on this Monday night. R1: Jeremy could've gone for those H's since he was THIS CLOSE to $2,500. R2: This was a VERY UGLY ROUND. After the BANKRUPTS go wild on everybody, I shook my head in disbelief when Sharonda decided to spin again, and boy did she crash and burn. This moment will go down on my personal WORST MOMENTS OF S30 list. R3: Way too quick of a solve, Jeremy. Should've gone for those N's. Bonus Round: Both me and Jeremy got it w/ the RSTLNE. Based on his facial expression, I don't think he knew it right away but he got lucky and won a nice amount to boot! EPISODE RATING: 7 out of 10

TU1: Another puzzle that could be categorized as "Nickname". Makes more sense under that than Place. R1: His next spin could have easily put him on $2500, meaning a $17,500 potential with the R's and H's (thanks to a use of the Wild Card) was gone with that early solve! R2: Why does it seem like every time someone gets the MDW and both car halves, they blow it? R3: Deja Vu with Sharonda's spins... Jeremy's insta-solve strategy was actually appropriate here, PP round and all. BR: That was the first sweep since "CHOSEN FEW" back in S28, right? Always nice to see, even though it was just luck. More music dubbing?! Why am I getting the feeling that they're doing this just so that they seem "consistent" with the regular show by using the current cues?... Whether the show is good or bad, it's always nice to hear a reactive audience on a sixth show. You could actually hear some people cringe when Sharonda said she'd spin... First half of this show was terrible, but the BR sweep was a nice treat. Rating: 3/5

That was the first sweep since "CHOSEN FEW" back in S28, right? Nope, the last one was VERY HUSH-HUSH later in the same season.

Toss-Ups: Here go the America-themed tossups... can't we have non-themed puzzles for a week? Pretty please? Anyone? R1: Not the best time to be offering a trip to New York, but I guess that's how the show schedule falls. As for the puzzle, I found it interesting that it only had two vowels (A and E). On the consonant side of things, Jeremy left three H's and four R's behind to solve for just $1,400 and the Wild Card. I hope this is a one-off and not a trend for him, or he could end up getting passed in a hurry. R2: Nothing says "clear the podiums" like a four-Bankrupt round! We had potential for a big round still when Sharonda hit the MDW and the whole car, but she didn't know it and lost her turn, letting Jeremy solve right away for the house minimum. It DID spark a genuine reaction from the audience, but for all the wrong reasons. R3: I knew Sharonda was going to be hit by the Lose a Turn after the car tag again... her spin power led right into it. Of course, Jeremy solves for no cash but gets the Bahamas trip. Don't get me wrong, he's a pretty good solver, but he's playing for the minimum here and that's not always the smartest idea. R4: Plenty of time for spinning as we're still almost 2 minutes shy of the 20-minute Final Spin mark. Jeremy nibbles around the $5,000 wedge on both sides, but ends up with $2,300 - that's his biggest round cashwise so far, sadly. R5: $1,900 a letter could add up nicely for somebody, but it may not be enough to win. That proves a moot point as Jeremy gets $7,600 more, winning every round except for Holly's $3,000 toss-up. Unlucky Sharonda gets the Pity Thousand after holding a whole car on ther podium in the second round. Bonus: This one was easy to RSTLNE, and Jeremy fills it completely. Although it's nice to award the 45K, I don't feel like it was truly earned with such an easy puzzle. Overall: I'm giving this a 6/10. It was really one-sided and would've been a whole lot better if Sharonda could claim the car. Jeremy had aptitude, but I would've appreciated a little avarice to go with it.

Not much to say that hasn't already been said, except to point out the crappy Trip Puzzle and applaud the Bonus Round. More music dubbing?! Why am I getting the feeling that they're doing this just so that they seem "consistent" with the regular show by using the current cues? Wheel has been inconsistent with dubbing over Griffin's cues, consistent with retaining Thicke's, and downright obsessed with dubbing over Kaplan's. Make of that what you will.

What a fail in Round 2. I practically jumped out my seat when she decided to spin again. I hate to see that. Right there, in the palm of your hands. An opportunity to blow the game open and she can't MAKE(s) the connection. Very disappointing.
EDIT: I noticed during the final spin that Pat's monitor went blank and didn't come back until the spin was almost over. Does that usually happen or was that a quirk tonight?
Nice BR. Always cool to see someone fill in the board. I like how Vanna just started to walk away and not reveal the 2nd H. She's so absent minded sometimes.
This was kind of a boring show and most of the play didn't help. I hope tomorrow's show offers more. Even though over half the country won't see it, I think that anything has to be more entertaining that early election returns.

TU1 & TU2: Jeremy did pretty good getting those 2 Toss-Ups! R1: A nice solve by Jeremy, but he definitely could've gone for more money here. R2: Man, this round was pretty painful. As soon as Sharonda picked up the second 1/2 Car, I was sure she would've been able to solve it right then. I thought to myself, "Oh dear, this is not happening..." when she spun again...and then that one spin cost her big time. Also, I think this should explain how I feel about all the penalty spaces that were hit. R3: Ugh, more bad luck for Sharonda. But at least Jeremy ends up with a nice trip. TU3: Yay, Holly's on the board now! R5: LOL @ Pat's "Next time, you come to me" comment. BR: I knew it while Jeremy was calling his letters. But definitely quite a bonus round! And a $45K win too! Overall, average maingame, but a nice bonus round. 7 out of 10 from me.

EDIT: I noticed during the final spin that Pat's monitor went blank and didn't come back until the spin was almost over. Does that usually happen or was that a quirk tonight? Normally, if anything, it goes blank the moment the Final Spin stops and stays blank for the rest of the segment.

For the intro clip, I was expecting Burke's big solve since tonight was two years to the day it happened. As for tonight's show, ups, downs, and all-arounds (reference to the "Speed Highway" music from "Sonic Adventure 1"). I don't recall seeing someone buying the only two vowels in the puzzle yet have the three that were not in the puzzle not be called. For Sharonda, I face-palmed myself when she spun again; apparently she just didn't know it; otherwise she would've solved. When she landed on Lose A Turn, I just shook my head. When Jeremy solved the speed-up puzzle, I shook my head once again for Sharonda. Had she solved round 2, she would've no doubt had a real good chance at being a millionaire. Now for the bonus puzzle, I got the answer when Jeremy guessed the H, and when he guessed the O, I'm like, "I think he completed it," and just laughed and applauded for the next couple minutes.

What a show tonight. I’m just very disappointed at Sharonda when she decided to spin again with only three blanks letters left while holding MDW and two half cars. I understand that most contestants want to spin again just to add more money, but she had a million dollar on her yellow device and that close to driving Ford Fiesta. She could’ve won that car and probably not the million dollars (she lands on bankrupt in round four), but instead ended up with nasty $1,000 consolation. It may be too early to have the best or worst moments in season 30, but this had to be one of the worst gameplay I ever see in this season. What was she thinking?!
At least Jemery did a great job tonight, especially he filled up all the letters in bonus round and wins $45K.
Well see you on Wednesday, since most stations won't be showing Wheel on the election day.

Well, rounds 1-3 were just painful to watch.
R1: I'm sure Jeremy's spin strength was good for hitting that $2.5K, at which point he could have claimed quadruple R's for big money. Conservative solving just isn't for when you only have $400 more than the absolute minimum.
R2: Another minimal solve, this time with the true house minimum, though to be fair, it wasn't Jeremy's fault. Man, of all the times for a contestant to just freeze up...
R3: Another solve for the minimum amount possible. I know it's a Prize Puzzle and all, but seeing three puzzles in a row solved for the minimal amount or close to it, it just doesn't make for very interesting TV. (Though I suppose contestants don't really care about that...) Ah well, at least we save enough time for a R5.
BR: Our first Perfect BR in a while; that did help lift up the show a bit. I was thinking of ON THE PHONE at RSTLNE; it seems like it took David a bit longer to figure out the correct letters there. Still fun to see.

Well I was in the audience for this show. George had just completed his show and we stayed and watched this one. Thanks for the compliment on the audience. There was a whole group of 4th or 5th graders watching the show and they were very good for cheering. We sat right in front of Sharonda's family. We felt terrible for them. Her husband was just dying on that puzzle. He was not a happy camper. We found out later that Sharonda did not know the puzzle until she reached down to spin and just as she grabbed the spokes of the wheel, before spinning, it came to her. Since she already had a hold of the wheel, she could not raise back up in time and let it fly only to hit on the LAT. Even the kids in the audience seemed to all know the puzzle. We got to know Holly a bit and she is a real sweet girl. Have been waiting a while to watch this one. Hope to have shared some insight to what it was like being there for this one.
