Hey All-- I thought I would start this thread for comparison and feedback on everyone's homemade wheel games. Despite being huge fans, ALMOST every single one of us makes tweaks and adjustments to their home games to make them unique and exciting! Not everyone is the same, and I'm curious to see what layouts you guys use when hosting your own games. I'll start off by sharing my own layouts that I currently use, and would love to hear feedback from all of you guys, and see posts of your own rules/layouts!!! $1K Toss Up $2K Toss Up Round 1:[/u] B/25,000/B 900 500 350 (1/2 car) 600 500 (Gift Tag) 1000 550 MDW 950 (same blue color) 700 900 500 (Wild) 2500BANKRUPT 300 500 (1/2 car) 450 500 (Prize) 1500 (red sparkly wedge) LAT 700 Free Play (I have five colored wedges, I change them out each round. Nice layouts. Despite being huge fans, every single one of us makes tweaks and adjustments to their home games to make them unique and exciting! Wow, what a sweeping generalization that also happens to be wrong -- I just play by the rules set forth in the instruction booklets, myself.

For the most part i use the rules before 1996's jackpot was introduced 3 generic rounds speedup in round 4 and then the bonus round whose envelopes are made out of old W shaped note pads that i had laying around.

My own version of Wheel of Fortune include both Daytime and Nighttime layouts. Both only offer CASH! Lots and lots of CASH! Yeah, reference to this year's Secret Santa Sweepstakes ad, but just like the 2009 PS3 version, I don't see the need for non-monetary prizes. Here are my daytime layouts. They've been the same since last year. A Free Spin wedge (or token if you have any Pressman/Tyco/Mattel WOF board games laying about) can be placed on top of any cash value with the exception of the pink $100 since that's where a pink $1000 will be placed in round 2. The Free Spin can be placed over the $750, and here's why. If the Free Spin is landed on, a correct letter must first be called to pick the Free Spin up, but the value under there is also awarded for each time the letter appears in the puzzle. germanname.deviantart.com/art/Germanname-2011-Daytime-R1-255493323germanname.deviantart.com/art/Germanname-2011-Daytime-R2-255493717germanname.deviantart.com/art/Germanname-2011-Daytime-R3-255494196germanname.deviantart.com/art/Germanname-2011-Daytime-R4-255494673Here are my current barren Nighttime layouts. Note the blue $2500 on the barren round four layout is optional (although it's become permanent for me), so if you want to print out the barren part for rounds 3 and 4, print out the second layout and print out the bottom half for round 4 only. germanname.deviantart.com/art/Germanname-Late-2012-Nighttime-Bare-1-325206857germanname.deviantart.com/art/Germanname-Late-2012-Nighttime-Bare-2B-336899523germanname.deviantart.com/art/Germanname-Late-2012-Nighttime-Round-4B-336901059Here are the layouts with everything on it. Note the gold $10,000 space for round 4 is also optional, although that also has become permanent for me. All the wedges and tokens that can be picked up with the exception of the Million Dollar Wedge and Mystery Wedges are worth $500 and thus must be placed on a $500 wedge. germanname.deviantart.com/art/Germanname-Late-2012-Nighttime-Round-1B-332262945germanname.deviantart.com/art/Germanname-Late-2012-Nighttime-Round-2-325207937germanname.deviantart.com/art/Germanname-Late-2012-Nighttime-Round-3-325304654germanname.deviantart.com/art/Germanname-Late-2012-Nighttime-Round-4C-336907505I will be making a Wheel with all the add-on wedges and tokens soon.

What else would the Half-Dollar tokens be based off of? The Half-Car tags! ;D The rules are the same only the prizes offered are $10K, $15K, or $20K. I wanted to find a good name for a cash counterpart of the Half-Car tags, but this was the best I could think of.
I determine the prize to be offered by using my YouSpin app on my iPod touch. I also made a Wheel on YouSpin for when a player lands on the Big Money wedge in round 3. It constantly spins until someone lands on it. When that happens, I press the stop button.
BTW, small sidenote. If anyone wants to make their own style of my layouts, please go ahead. Please be sure to mention me and tell me about it if you do. I'd love to see them.

I NEED to get this YouSpin app--I've been trying to find something for Big Money for awhile, and haven't been successful which is why it's been left off of my game.

Then get it, Acegreen! It's only 99 cents. Just so you know, the author is Benjamin Zachey.
Let me know when you get it; I'll PM you the layouts I have.
BTW, I also have an alternative to Toss-Ups. They're called Spin-Ups. The first is after the chats and before round 1. It's worth $1000. The second is before round 4 and worth $2000. If a seventh round is to be played, there is no Spin-Up before that round.
Naturally, whoever spins the highest starts the round. Spinning a Bankrupt is worth $0, Lose a Turn is $1, and Free Play, Jackpot, or any wedge with a token is worth $500. The money spun during a Spin-Up has no effect on scoring; it's just to see who starts the round. If there is a tie for most spun up, scores are reset, and another Spin-Up decides who starts.

I tried to make a relatively elaborate one as far as homemade versions go, but I never really had the skill to do it. Of the two home games I have, I've modified the wheel of both to some extent.
Anymore, we play the first edition of the 1975 game, with the Buy a Vowel space duct-taped over with $400. Five rounds; the values double in the third, the fourth is a speedup, and the fifth is the current BR just for fun. The 1990-2007 Free Spin rules are in effect.
I also have the current version's first Deluxe Edition (I think—green box). What I did is take the addons from the 1980s' first DE, changed five of them to $2,500, $3,500, Jackpot, and the two Mystery Wedges (Bankrupt was left alone), punch holes in the newer game's layout, and put them there, making it into the then-current layout. It's one big, fat hack job.

I've slightly modified my version. I swapped the locations of the WC & Insurance tags, and I put the sparkly red $1500 over the red $600 space. The gift tag has moved to the yellow $400, and I've added the pink $5,000 wedge to round 4 to cover the pink $900. I'm going to experiment on this week of shows with swapping the TDV and FP spaces and see what happens.
