Something I have always wondered...did they ever date? I know they have kinda always been painted as a "brother/sister" kind of duo, but, my interest was piqued even more when I watched the video of Pat making a surprise visit to Daytime Wheel on his talk show. A very neat video actually...
Vanna seemed VERY happy to see him, not like seeing an old friend, but like how I feel whenever I see my fiance for the first time in awhile...they shared a very friendly hug at the beginning and end, plus the whole gum thing, which was kinda hilarious... I guess their gestures toward each other, the way he held her hand when they were walking to look at the prizes, etc. lead me to think they were dating, and they seemed very serious, even though Pat and Leslie were married later that year (New Year's Eve '89 or New Year's Day '90). Plus, I'm reminded of the big kiss on Pat's last daytime show...So, did they date, and if so, was it for very long...That would be the perfect question for an "Ask Pat & Vanna" segment...
