This is gonna seem like an odd topic to some of you, but it should also be interesting to most of you. First, I wanna give a bit of a history lesson regarding this. About 10 years ago, I bought my first WoF board game. Shortly after, I came up with the idea to play an actual game with some Star Wars figures I had at the time. I would take the human characters and use them as contestants, as well as 2 figures to represent Pat and Vanna. Later on, I bought my first Deluxe Edition game, and the wheel replica gave it a more realistic touch. After I started getting into the wrestling figures, I changed things up a bit. I started putting my own sets together and started "offering" motorbikes and (previously) convertibles as prizes. Now, this next part may sound crazy... I'm now 21 and I'm still going at it. I recently started doing special shows (already did Christmas and New Year's). My iPad makes a great video wall for behind the contestants. Here are some pics from my most recent "show": WHEEL! OF! FORTUNE!!! (credit for logo goes to wheelgenius) Ladies and gentlemen, Pat Sajak and Vanna White (or Christian and Stephanie McMahon for any WWE fans on here) Shawn Michaels, Edge, and Chris Jericho are ready to go My most recent set-up Has anyone else ever done anything like this? Does this seem like a good idea?

I've seen people do it all the time over at YouTube. I don't think it'd be a bad idea.
BTW, on a sidenote, I'd like to wish Wheel of Fortune a happy 38th Anniversary. Today is 38 years to the day Wheel premiered on NBC.

Someone's got time on their hands. Still a rather sophisticated set up with the technology and the action figures.

Yep. In fact, I remember seeing this one parody a while back where Sonic (in his soap shoes from Sonic Adventure 2) was hosting, and the gameplay was very different. A plush chicken was given three chances to spin and win. I can no longer find it at YouTube, however.
Talking about that one now makes me want that Sonic Adventure 2 figure. So far, I've only found one on Ebay, and unfortunately, it's being sold in the UK for the equivalent of $120, including shipping.
Even so, I got a ton of Sonic figures and plushies already, including a plush of Cosmo (from Sonic X) someone at Deviant made for me a year and a half ago. Furthermore, I'm awaiting a Blaze figure in the mail. She just came out in a comic book/figure pack, and already she's rare. Because of that, waiting to get her was not an option for me.
I'll see what I can do about posing my Sonic figures with my Wheel model as if they're playing a game.

I've made some changes to my Wheel model, one of the changes was inspired by you, WheelMaster. Apart from the backdrops that MarioGS made and the lighting effects I made by using masking tape (beige, bright yellow) and duct tape (gray), I included stands on the back of my podiums for action figures. To show that I do indeed have the Blaze figure, I made sure to include her. Note to mods, if this looks too big, this is, or at least should be, the max width of 800 pixels.

Very nice. It spins way better than out of Pressman's box. Though I would suggest printing out a current layout to go over the old one, and maybe make some add-on wedges if you haven't already. Some other tips: maybe paint the "podiums" or cover them in construction paper? Also, the iPad is a nice touch, but if you really want to make it look like the current show, use landscape or cityscape pictures instead of the Wheel logo.

haha I'm not sure how I would be able to place any layout over the old one on that wheel. Plus, I use some of the rules from S26 (free spin + $300 per letter for instance). What I'd really like to do is add the light extensions around the wheel, but I'm not sure how to do that either haha.
