The time is finally here!
Next weekend, we will finally be making the switch to the newest version of Proboards, Version 5. As a result, however, the site will be down for a good portion of the weekend, starting Saturday morning and possibly lasting into Sunday. As the transition is not instant, meaning that we have to wait until they get to us on the waitlist, we're forced to shut down the site while we wait...and since all of the new graphics and whatnot are on my computer (to say nothing short of the fact that I have all of the permissions needed to upgrade the site), it can't be done while I'm at work.
The site should be up before Founder's Day on Monday.
With the upgrade, we will be debuting a brand-new look, along with introducing numerous new features that come with the new version of Proboards. We've worked hard over the past few months on it, and we cannot wait to unveil it...at the same time, we want to be sure it's good and ready before we do.
In addition, with the new site, we are bringing back nightly show chat! Every night, when the show airs, you can join your fellow site members in discussion about the night's show, and even play along! We're also debuting a brand-new forum game with the new site launch, one of which we've been working on for a while now and think you will enjoy.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to ask. I understand that there may be some minor frustrations about such an extended downtime, but I promise, it'll be worth it. It is you guys, our loyal members, that keep us running, and it is for you guys that we have worked so hard to come up with something that you will enjoy and will serve us well well into the future. We're about to enter our fifth year (!) on the Web, and I am proud to have been a part of it for the past year and a half. We've come a long ways these past couple of years, and I hope that we can continue to go strong well into the future!
