I don't know what Nancy Jones's personality was like, but when I was at Stage 11, the contestant coordinators were patient and encouraging, but aggressive. I only relate to Jackie's personality because it's a lot like mine when I tutor: fast and aggressive, but patient. Trust me, I was on the receiving end of many comments, including when I called a letter already on the board during rehearsal. Their comments are more to encourage rather than to degrade. Believe me, putting up with me for 10 hours is not an easy thing, especially when I was all fired up for the show. I only mean what I say in the nicest of ways.

While I never met Nancy myself, she came across as being a sweet lady (for example, bringing out a bouquet of flowers on Susan Stafford's last show in 1982) who also had a good sense of humor (for example, her response to "Being on Wheel of Fortune is a BOMBASTIC experience." in March 1995). Nancy wasn't really involved on the contestant-finding side, but seemed more like part of the fight team. As for your last two sentences, no comment.  |

Awesome! I knew you'd get in. I think all the Culver City tapings for the season are done for now, so I think it'll be a little while before you get invited to go to the show, but keep watching, and keep us posted on when you're going to the show! Watch your e-mail inbox religiously!

I got a letter from Wheel today that I'm in the contestant pool. Woo-hoo! Congrats! You could get called very quickly so be prepared. My wife got her acceptance letter on 12/22 and was given a tape date first week in January. Good luck! |

Unfortunately, job, she may have to wait. As jmdarrall said, all the Culver City tapings are wrapped up, leaving only the New York shows, and then taping doesn't pick back up until July. Still, good to see that you made it in.  And look on the bright side, getting put in the pool at the end of the season gives you plenty of time to prepare. |

It took me about 2 months from the time I got the letter to the time I got invited to go to Culver City. You will have plenty of time to get ready, though, as tapings won't begin in Culver City until the Summer.

Congrautlations on both your contestant acceptance and your baby. You too, Dandi, minus the baby. You're in luck. The seasons don't start taping until mid-July. So you won't be called for a show earlier than that unless they ask you to be on a NYC show, but you can always tell them that the date you're called for doesn't work out very well. |
