From the makers of "Words With Friends" brings you "What's the Phrase?". This is Zynga's attempt for a similar Wheel of Fortune game, like Jericho Game's "Phrase Friends".
Player chooses one of the three categories. There is a "Create Your Own!" that let's you create a custom puzzle for a friend. I haven't looked into this feature.
Unlike Wheel, you get three turns or spins, after that it's the next player's turn.
Buying a vowel cost you up to 5 coins depending on the letter's popularity. A - I is worth 10 coins, while o and u are worth 5.
For round 1, the top point value is 1000. The good news is there are no penalty wedges. You spin the wheel just like the Showcase Showdown wheel.
If a player lands on the "Civic" logo, picks one of the 3 cars. One of them has a random point amount.
After three turns (or spins) you have a choice, submit to your opponent or solve the puzzle. I don't know about buying a vowel.
Round 2's top dollar is 2500. There are two penalty wedges on the wheel. One is the word "BUST", and the other is "Lose A Spin". The Bust wedge has their mascot that looks almost like PYL's Whammy. The BUST only lose your current score, but you get to keep playing your turn unless you run out. The same goes for "Lose A Spin".
Round 3's Top dollar is 5000.
After three rounds, the player with the most points goes to the Bonus Round. In the Bonus Round, the winner picks one of the 3 safe (Ala "Let's Make A Deal"). When a player picks a safe, they win a prize.
It's a fun game, but the rounds are shorter than "Phrase Friends". Like "Phrase Friends", you can purchase new categories. What do you guys think?
MOVED to Mr. Irrelevant. This has nothing to do with WOF.
