Well, I definitely noticed them doing it at MSG with any Wild Cards or claimed 1/2 Car tags. They do it pretty quickly, though.

I have a question, Euclid. At the tapings I went to, I noticed that any time a player claims cardboard that will remain in subsequent rounds, they take the original piece backstage and put a new one in its place. I assume they did this with your MDW and Amanda's Wild Card. Why do they do this? Is it so that the tape on the originals doesn't stick to the railing or show on camera? If that's the case, I guess you've somewhat solved what happened on the election day episode. Although, why Pat was so eager to get her Wild Card is still unknown. Also, I don't know if her Wild Card ever re-appeared that episode.

It didn't. Though I wonder if it was still displayed on the off-camera scoreboard. They put a huge WC graphic in the player's column that's hard to miss.
