So I have a favor to ask since I'm not having much luck on my own. I'm looking for an early episode of Wheel that aired between June 1984 and Feb. 1985. There was a contestant on the show named Tev and she said that her Dad got her name off of a CA license plate. Well, now I am named after her and I would really like to see or maybe even purchase that episode. I've already found the Tev license plate. Please help me find the remaining link in my story.

Tev, I've checked the episodes that circulate online and didn't find any with a contestant with that name. Do you know whether the episode was from the daytime or nighttime version of the show? Did the show have the silver $5,000 space on the Wheel? If so, it's from the nighttime version, so there could be a glimmer of hope. Daytime, however, the episode probably doesn't exist primarily anymore, as most daytime episodes from before 1985 were erased by NBC. Try contacting the show at wofhelp@sonypictures.com and let us know what they say. It might be hard for them to find the show since you don't have an exact date, and if they are able to find it, you will probably have to pay quite a sum to get a copy, but this is probably your last hope. Good luck!

Here's the thing: the timeframe covers the very end of Season 1 through just over half of Season 2. * If it's nighttime, there's a good chance it's around, but I'm not seeing anything from those who have quite a few episodes from that period. * If it's daytime...I looked at the list of daytime episodes known to exist ( here) and the aforementioned traders, and I'm not seeing anybody named Tev. ...I honestly don't know. Mario's pretty much covered the bases on what to remember, although opponents' names would be helpful...especially if one was a returning champ. Daytime, however, the episode probably doesn't exist primarily anymore, as most daytime episodes from before 1985 were erased by NBC. Not NBC -- Merv Griffin's company.
